I know man, it's something different haha. But just for my personal opinion, I think that the overproduced shit RoS does fits their music kind of better than the sound of this video. I like real drum sounds way more but just for Technical Deathcore (or whatever the hell you want to call them) the triggered, almost el3ctronic sound fits better imo

Killer video man! I have to ask, Did you find a difficult transition into the Axis pedals? I have the exact same pair, have been playing with them for a while, but I have to admit I'm not 100% happy with them.. The power isn't there and I find it hard to catch grooves like I did on chain driven pedals. Any thoughts or suggestions my friend?! Thanks :)
@KholmDrums8 жыл бұрын
+IntoTheEternity Hi man! With my first pair i did! Going from a heavy powerfull pedal like the DW 3000 to the Axis was hard, took around 3-4 month until i got some good controll with them, however did i had in mind that the Axis is one of the best thing you could get. So when i realized that i played bad with my new Axis did i just think that "i" was the one who was just bad at first, however when i changed from the short to the longboard was i extreamly happy! It take some time to get used to them! give them a try and test out some different settings! my first pair did i bought from a guy, so they was not in the best condition either... The new one i got was much better also! So it depends also on that! :)

@rhombusskullvsteal110 жыл бұрын
how do they do their gravity blasts? I mean being a drummer not trained classically I would like to know the technique.. is it just rolling it while doing a blastbeat? or rolling while also doing a twice the speed snare hit?
@KholmDrums10 жыл бұрын
I didn't remember where i learned it, you kind of hold the stick a bit more from the back of the middle (you can see how i hold it, and you are supposed to just lift up and down above the rim (as you can see is my hand like some centimeters from the rim), then you make a hit when you press down the stick, and one hit when you "take up" the stick! i can say that it's not at all like a blastbeat, it's is a other sort of technique! i'm pretty sure you can find a tutorials on youtube!
@shadowmanx3710 жыл бұрын
You basically lay down the stick on the rim on, well maybe between half length and 3/4 of the lenght (at least I do it somewhere there), and just pull it up rather loosely, so the tip falls on the snare head, then push it down to hit again and angle the stick tip up (cause obviously you're pushing it down, so the tip raises), then repeat. When you trained the motion, you can concentrate on getting more power and not just, as I described it, let the stick fall, but you'll learn to continously hold the stick tight while doing this. Hope it helped :)
@BurnTheNuance10 жыл бұрын
I have such a hard time with them too! And I am gettimg tired of the comments on Kitchers videos, there are literally kids that say "I don't even play and I can do that" or "You're a idiot I am a guitarist and I can". I just sit here, laughing thinking I've been playing for five years and I have a hard time, no way can people who dontw play do them, and they will try to argue with me and call me a idiot.
@rhombusskullvsteal110 жыл бұрын
BurnThePope0514 I don't play with proffesional training, I've self learned drums, but either way I don't have an easy time with it. I was so confused, I thought they were doing some kind of drum roll.

Very nice technique, hope you do some Hiroshima Will Burn tunes some day! :) Hey I read in the description box that the pedals you were using for this cover are new, how you feel the longboards? Are they better than traditional, short board chain tansmission pedals for fast stuff or is just a matter of habits? Anyway, subscribed (Y)
@KholmDrums9 жыл бұрын
+Alessandro Murtas Have been using the Axis Longboards for almost one year now! It is a really sick pedal, but just like my old Axis, did it take some time to fine the right settings for my playing. the Direct link will help you play faster, because if you have a chain and play fast so will the chain not "bend" or what i shoul say... That will slow down some fast playing. I also realised that the longbords work much better for me since i use swiwel sometimes and i do that really far back on the pedal, so that is good! So i really think that it is a sick pedal!

Have been working on my kit for like 3-4 years now!
@BurnTheNuance10 жыл бұрын
KholmDrums Ya, I have put a lot into my kit over the years too man, so I feel your pain. I play on a older PDP X-7, I got it when they were just coming out with them, and a Pork-Pie Little Squealer for a snare. Anyways, keep improving man and never quiet there are too many guitarists in the world, haha, we needa stay united as drummers ;)

@BurnTheNuance10 жыл бұрын
KholmDrums Oh I feel you on the bigger crashes, I bought the cymbal pack that came with the Aaxs and Xs20 hats and ride, but I already had a AA raw bell ride (fantastic ride for the money) and just stuck with that. I didn't like the tiny bell on the Xs20 medium ride.. I do miss having two 18's for crashs, but idk, there is something about that 16in AAX that I am rather fond of!
