He's normally a finger style bassist, but he speaks about the technical music itself, implying it just won't sound right when played without a pick. He's probably right, but we all want to see finger style anyway :p

For anyone who's confused here a little context. Scott was from a band called Viraemia, a lesser known band that lots of people heard of at the time. Over time everyone in the band had some issues both in and out of music. Eventually it was too much for Scott and he said he would take his life. His bandmates tried really hard to keep Scott onboard but it wasn't enough and he took his own life. His old youtube channel is still up if anyone wants to see his videos.

I went to see Carnifex in Kent Ohio a couple years ago and I posted up as Rings took the stage opening. I was right in front of Lucas for the show and he and the band blew me away ! I never heard of them before that night . fan ever since !
