@Lee Wright why not? Once you have nailed and refined the individual skills it's just a matter of practice. You can even practice slap on a guitar (it's easier to learn first on a wide-spaced bass, though).

I hate to break it to you but it is sped up. Joel Omans, the guitarist, left the band because he thought Lucas Mann was a shitty musician for recording at half speed, and they got into fights over it too much, or something along those lines. I'm sure if you dig, you can find the facebook post where Joel explains why he left, and confirms that Lucas records everything at half speed. Personally I don't think it matters in the slightest if they did. I don't give a fuck how they make their music, I just care if the music is good, regardless of how they get it to sound good.

Yeah that alone is quite the feat, let alone slapping, with double thumb. Tapping in and out of harmonics. Finger style, and walking the length of all 6 strings, ohh, and playing a 6 string bass just itself. Every single video I see him play in. He absolutely shreds it!
