I love and prefer direct community opinion about FFXIV's raid state, since there's just so much honesty that comes from an interview conducted like this. So often these, days, there's so little "community" voice that gets heard by developers and other players alike, it's nice to hear just a simple one-on-one conversation about this stuff. Definitely gives me a lot to think about with regards to my own ultimate progression. Thank you for this lil' glimpse, and I look forward to future content ^^

I really like your interviews Caer, your questions are quite insightful and I think they bring out a lot about the people you talk to. I love what Rin said about constantly finding ways to do things better the next time, so as to make thing as easy for others as possible, I think that's basically what separates me from the higher skill players. I tend to get stuck in a rut where I hit a plateau of "ahh yeah, that's enough" and just stay there. I'm surprised Rin thought the thing where point out one good thing and one thing that could use improvement about each other sounds toxic, that's a fairly common teambuilding thing I think lmao. It does work really well if you are with people whom you trust to be candid.

I feel like it's a double edge blade when it comes to the reward/risk factor me personally I love a challenge and if it's something impossible then I'm on a mission to prove otherwise I love the diversity of the healer kits and management of skill it makes you feel good when you can juggle 3 things at once and still come out relatively unscathed ESPECIALLY In prog if you can heal with and uncoordinated group and still pog champ you basically a pro healer but also ppl prolly got overwhelmed by it and also working with other ppl you'd run across some pretty...colorful ppl and then the elitism didn't help either, you heal one time more than you were supposed to and you'd get curse out and kicked and twelve forbid you somehow cause the group to wipe, bye bye self esteem, I miss the old healing tho I'd gladly go back and do it all over again it was fun and built character and as WoL the fight is nvr ending

@Caer Esthar .. if there's one thing I could ask of you... I came from your short video which had the "watch the full video here!" ... Can you put a chapter marker in where that video ends? That way, I won't have to search for where I ended the one video. It was smart to do that, because it worked. But it would be nice to have others who come after me be able to skip to the point where the last video left off. Thanks!

Love the video, I think there is a BIG problem with healing right now. The gameplay doesn't match the community. Right now the game is all about "How much damage can you do." So alot of healers in pf will prioritize dealing damage rather than pushing healing buttons. If you have ever played healer and healed with a "Chad" healer you know this feeling. Regen and Shield healers need to be more defined in their roles. Right now shield healers output the most OGcD healing so in a fight your shield healers is doing most the work. Which makes no sense, isn't that what a regen healer is supposed to do? Shield healers also have more OGcD regens than regen healers which again makes no sense. Healing should all be OGcDs that cost MP and healers should have a deeper dps kit. I don't mean as deep as a dps but more than 2 buttons. Also, all none tank mit should be removed from dps classes and added to healers. Raid wide damage should be the sole responsibility of the support classes. While dps keep the focus on doing damage. Sorry for the rant I just feel like healing is in a bad spot right now. People in statics generally think things are fine because they play in a static setting but I purely PF and healers are dropping off cause things are just messed up right now. I just hope videos like this reach the devs so they can make a change.
