When we last saw Beth, she had just shot Rio as he was beating up Agent Turner. Now that he's out of the picture, she's ready to run the game and stay in control. The women take on seemingly innocent jobs - Beth in a stationary store, Ruby in a nail salon and Annie as a valet - each with a special purpose to aid them in their new criminal enterprise. What happens as they expand their operation will have a ripple effect with their families. Meanwhile, Stan's taken a job in security at a strip club and Dean is working sales at a spa company. From Executive Producer Jenna Bans ("Grey's Anatomy," "Scandal") comes the third season of this comedy-infused drama that mixes a little "Thelma & Louise" with a bit of "Breaking Bad." Seriously this season is a joke. Aside the Brio drama, why is Beth still with Dean? Someone who clearly undermined her abilities and who cheats on her constantly. Most of the fan base do not want Beth to be with Dean, so why are they pushing this storyline down our throats ? Also, they build this chemistry between Rio and Beth for 2 damn seasons. Rio sees Beth as an equal and tries to empower her (aside the toxic drama between the two) and now Season 3 is all about how Beth tries get rid of Rio, for what? Bobateababy18 I feel like that was their plan all along at the beginning of season 2 while preparing for season 3. Majority of the people that watched this show only watching because of the Brio ship, including me. In season 2, they writers rlly developed their relationship and that’s what tuned people in more and that’s why their show got renewed. Maybe their initial plan wasn’t even to development the chemistry between these two but now that there IS another season I feel like their bent on destroying that relationship and mocking the viewers who shipped them. I think that if instead of Beth pretending to be pregnant at the beginning of the season, if they had actually made her pregnant, it would have made for a better storyline. It also feels like a dropped ball that they never explored why Beth inserted herself into Rhea and Marcus’ lives after she thought she had killed Rio. Pretty sure it was just to be able to have some part of him still in her life. Also, I don’t think Beth actually meant to shoot that first bullet when she shot Rio. The second 2 bullets, yeah, she meant those ones, but I think it was just self preservation at that point because when she realized she shot him and saw the look on his face with him coming towards her, she thought he would kill her. I’m disappointed that instead of Beth getting Rio to see that she wasn’t actually trying to kill him, which would make a better segue into repairing their relationship, she is actually trying to have him murdered. HATE THIS. As for Dean, I think I’m one of the few people that actually like him. Probably because I love Matthew Lillard. He and Beth are NOT a good match though. They should just let them divorce and have him as the amicable ex-husband. As if Covid isn’t horrible enough, now we’ll be 5 episodes down from the 16 we were supposed to have, so you know the “finale” will be completely unfulfilling. I swear, if the show ends on a non-ending then doesn’t get renewed, I will have a meltdown. I freaking hate when shows do that!

They're not trying to destroy Brio. Brio was never actually i intended to be a thing. How their relationship is now is needed for the show. Beth and the girls are growing into the crime world now that Rio isn't shielding them from them. Yes it's frustrating to see Beth and Dean together but it's needed. Because that's usually how many marriages work. There's no love between them, from Beth side. She dosen't care. And we have seen how Dean is about Beth and Rio. Implying that it's not just business between them. The angst is good.

Beth thinks she hard core and thinks she can go to the same lengths he can. She cannot and he's letting her know she ain't ready. Dean is annoying however I see him has a necessary comical foil for Beth. The characters I am annoyed with are Stan snd Ruby's bratty daughter.

I'm so done with this season. Completely disappointed with these writers. They are making Beth look like a chump and its starting to really get annoying. Despite getting nowhere all season with their stupid plans, the writers still have Beth trying the same bad ideas over and over this season. Meanwhile nothing in seasons 1 & 2 developed her character into being this inefficient and unintelligent. They aren't respecting the character they wrote for in seasons 1 & 2 and instead are creating unbelievable and tedious situations. Beth was better than this in the beginning of the series. The writers and showrunners are changing the formula of the show, meanwhile its only season 3, and showing no regard to the fans. I feel like they are also trying to go too dark this season. This show started off more like a fun, lighthearted, crime dramedy / black comedy. Yes, they robbes places and there was some shooting / dumping dead bodies, but they managed that in still a fun, fumbling way. These women were over their head trying to pretend to be criminals. Now - season 3 - they have their friend being killed in front of them, Boomer pleading for his life while being hauled off, and Rio setting up Beth by getting her finger prints on a murder weapon. Wow. So at this point the show has gone from 3 women kind of comically figuring out how to keep up with non violent crime life (washing money), to Rio threatening to frame Beth for a murder and get her put in jail for life. Hmm.. 🤔 And tbh I'm so tired of hearing more time for Rio, more character development! Listen i love the Rio character, i truly do, but he is a supporting character on the show. The worst thing that shows do is take a supporting character that gets uber popular, and try to make them center stage with too much airtime. Or even worse, do a spin off 🙄 that almost never works. I love the Rio character for what he was in 1 & 2, something for the girls - which the show *Good Girls* is about, to play off of, clearly something sexy to look at, and good chemistry / interest for one of the main characters. I'm not saying he isn't a huge part of the show and very important, clearly he is. He gives what we need for the "Good Girls" to do their thing. There is no disrespect saying he is a supporting character. It is truly what anchors the show, which is why they need to remain in that lane. Look at Stan. He is a supporting character. I love his character and I enjoy his storylines. But I'm not looking for him to take center stage. It would ruin a good thing. Rio is more than Stan, but still, keep him where's he's at

Yes, but you said yourself that Stan has a storyline. Rio doesn't have a storyline, he has a plot function. All anybody wants is for him to get the same amount of screen time and PoV as the other male characters. I mean, Dean jogging was deemed to be worth screen time and Max got his own episode. Rio doesn't need to be the lead, but having Beth vs. Rio be the main storyline of the show for 3 seasons while one half of that storyline is treated like a prop is making the show fall flat, and they have leaned so far into trying to make fans hate Rio that they've sucked Beth into that whirlpool too. I think this scene is the most unlikable I've ever seen these 2 characters. Makes me glad I didn't watch the episode.

Courtney R I don’t think anything was supposed to happen at all this entire season. If you’re referring to the development of Rio and Beth’s chemistry then let me share my opinion why there’s a lack of it. Maybe their chemistry wasn’t supposed to evolve at all but viewers were so intent on them being together that the writers took that and switched it so where another season got renewed and that Brio ship supposedly ended. Just my opinion on this.

Nah Jenna Bans,the entire crew,Christina and Manny all decided to go with the BRIO chemistry thing after the 1st couple of episode of Season 1,and continued to follow through with it all the way till this season(Season 3).Jenna Bans said in the very beginning,before she started filming the show,she had no plans or intentions of them being a thing.Jenna Bans said she made a joke one day about how "it would be funny if Beth and Rio ended up wanting to be with each other",not even being serious about it happening.They just happened to have alot of chemistry when they would be in scenes together.All the crew said "you watch, Beth and Rio are going to end up hooking up" so they all ended up agreeing to making Beth and Rio a thing,and sticking with it.Jenna Bans said "it turned out way better than we thought it would,so we'll be sticking with it"

What happened to this show? Most of what has happened in season 3 already happened in the previous 2 seasons... We just keep going around in circles. Beth had so much more confidence last season, where did that go? She's back to letting everyone walk all over her. Now they're just making one mistake after another and we always know what the outcome will be. They're smarter than that. I was really hoping Rio would end up working with or for the girls. Together they each bring something to the table & that would've been wild to see them working together on the same team. They need each other. For me, everything went bad in the season 2 finale, it took all the fun out of the show. I'm now struggling to watch it and don't think I'll make it to season 4 if there is one. It doesn't feel like the writers have a clear direction for the show. They've created some of the most intriguing characters, but not doing them justice. I feel disappointed, but maybe that's just me.

I still haven't watched the last 2 episodes I recorded whereas last season I watched every show on the day it aired. I knew when Beth shot Rio the whole dynamic of the show was shifting into a new direction. I wish the producers and writers of the show would've given us one more season of Brio before shooting Rio and changing everything we loved about the show.

I know most fans, including me, want BRIO love scenes again but I think it takes time if the plot is considered. In Rio’s POV, He got three shots from someone he liked and even before that he kinda rejected several times (like Beth blocked him, said goodbye and gave money after sex) so he needs time to forgive and trust her again. It would be very weird and hard to understand them if Brio happens so quickly. So let’s be patient and hope the writer develops their relationship!

If she ever decided to go against him again, expose the business, take it from him, etc, he will frame her for murder. Her prints are all over it. Why don't Beth think about that? I don't think Rio and Beth’s ”relationship” was meant to last. There has to be some switch up somewhere, or else it gets to predictable and stale. Infatuation and attraction happen, it doesn't mean they'll lead to love and a happily ever after. It's just business at this point.
