After Osaka's 47-day Soft Lockdown, finally Prime minister Shinzo Abe ended State of Emergency. This is a Vlog made by Local Japanese. Hope you enjoy spending a day with me!

We were never in a lockdown we were in an emergency state some places where very relaxed with bars still open, no social distancing (Odaiba Tokyo) and everyone playing in parks (Kanto) while Hokkaido was very strict. The best advice is to listen to Japanese Health Department not Politicians . hope you make it to Osaka in 2020 :D you will love it.

Hi, Rion...I thought about you last night. I'm so glad things are one their way to getting back to normal there in Osaka. Same here in Ontario, California. The restaurants are allowed to have people dine in again and stores that were not "essential" are allowed to reopen, but I agree we still need to be careful. Maybe that's why even though these businesses are allowed to start getting "back to normal", they're not. There are so many rules that need to be complied with. Less people in the establishment, more cleaning, etc., that I guess it's difficult to get going again. My friend and I made a plan to eat out in a restaurant next week. Hi rion,i ate from the three chain stores,yoshinoya,matsui and sukiya when i was on my holiday in march..such good value for a beef bowl!! I had my first experience too with using raw egg to mix with it...wow!! yoshinoya was also my best friend in college since me and my friends love anime and japanese culture. since japanese food were expensive, the closest one we could afford at that time was Yoshinoya, we've always loved their beef gyudon 💖💖💛💛

Hi Rion, in the future you should try to see if you can do promotional activities such as approaching interesting places around Osaka and asking if you can film/make videos about them. Examples include amusement parks, interesting Japanese things and so on. Kind of like what big jvloggers do, and if you make interesting/unique content you are more likely to blow up and get brand deals which will help the channel. Might be a good idea as things open up in the future, especially for tourism. Look into other Japan channels, and you have a unique perspective being a local and fluent, where they do not. Try to sell it and wish you the best 👍

Back when I was poor there was an asian market close to where I lived called Nijiya Market, they have these packs of GyuDon from Ajinomoto for like $2. I just buy a bunch of those and cook my own rice. I made one $2 packet last for lunch and dinner.

I love Dotonbori, I was there over New Year with my friend from Tokyo who is originally from Osaka. There are so many food choices there, we don't have anything like that in Canada. By the way, I really like Yoshinoya, and actually tried it first in Hong Kong before Japan, because they have it there too even though I know its from Japan.

Hi Rion, I am missing my tuna toro fix and tempura in Japan. I had to cancel my trip in April due to the Covid-19. Whenever I am in Japan, I like visiting Osaka the most because it has Dotonbori, Kuromon and most of all Namba Park. Everything is so convenient and locations are near each other. Lots of goodies to try and enjoy. Whoever is visiting Namba Park in the future should not miss going to the 6th floor and order the Hawaiian Style Hamburger. In my opinion, it's the best hamburger I've tasted with avocado. Shopping is so easy too as most drug stores carry a variety of Japanese products including cosmetics, etc. My fav snacks were the fruit jellies that are being sold in the drug stores. They are so yummy and not that expensive. I used to buy and eat them inside my cubicle where food were not allowed. I had enjoyed them so much that I bought a lot to bring home. However, because I forgot to lock my luggage, baggage handlers helped themselves to them and only left me 1/3 of what I had purchased.
