FYI, Compared to regular single Tokyo apartment, my apartment is older but bigger size, Average Rent for this size apartment in Tokyo is 80,000 - 90,000 JPY ($667 - $750) + Utilities, could be much expensive could be much cheaper, it really depends on the place where you want to live! Hope those info helps too! Please don't forget to hit like button if you like the video! Arigatooo😆!

Rion, regarding the cigarette smell coming from the vents, you just have to create a positive pressure. A small amount of fresh air when your room is sealed will prevent air from the vent from entering the room. Try installing a small fan in that vent above your bed drawing in fresh air.

Yes, Donbei instant is my favourite too. It also has a small version. Yes, the best part is the dried Tofu square that is very soft & soaks up the soup really well. Juicy.

Great video, Rion! This actually comes at a great time for me, as about two weeks ago I was accepted into an international work/travel program to teach English in Japan! In October or November I will be moving there, and there will no doubt be a lot to learn, so I appreciate your Japanese apartment tips! I'm really excited to go, but I don't know where in Japan I will be yet, so it's a big exciting mystery. Thanks for all your great videos, and any more Japanese etiquette/culture tips would be very welcome!

Hahahaha! 👏 👏 👏 😂 About your sweet apartment, I must say that you did a good job on choosing the furniture and for doing the furniture layout 👍 Maybe the advice I can give to you now is to get a good and appropriate containers/storages for your things so that your shelves and/or cabinets will look more organise 😉 👌 Thank you for doing this apartment room a.k.a. GAO HQ tour and for sharing some tips and the snippets of your “Living GAO-lone Diaries” to us 😂 Through this video, we can have an idea on the daily-unfiltered-life in Japan. Take care always and we hope that your neck sprain/back pain will be gone now 🙏 God bless!

What a cute studio appartment fitting so well for a sigle person. Everything is there at hand but still separated in different corners. Sweet Rion's kingdom with a fancy chair as a throne. I am so glad you are slowly recovering and your neck pain is not that severe as it used to be. Thanks to mattress top you might avoid such problems in future. Your fridge is also impressive and such a master cook as you are deserves it. All your posted dishes by the way look so yummy. As for your Ray Bans - this style of sunglasses fits you perfectly and I like it very much. Anyhow, it seems that one pair of mine is the same style as yours - Wayfarer - meaning traveler wich fits to you in this sense, as well. After all I used to travel much with my Ray Ban buddy, too. Looking forward to your new adventures. Especially I would be pleased with your cooking session! Nowadays, during your recovering period It would be perhaps convinient for you to make a cooking and eating live stream including the kampais. Hoping that you might fully recover soon but still take it easy and no rush is needed. Best regards from Zagreb - Croatia.

The heat/ac split units people don't often clean. Some of the smell like burnt dust comes from them. Even if you clean the filter. Sometimes you got to really open it up and clean out any part you can. Flexible Swiffers can help too if you can't open it.

Oh. It sounds like you developed a stiff neck from sleeping in an uncomfortable position. It may be a week or so for the muscle to relax. It will be difficult to turn your neck. I feel for you. I hope you find a mattress that will not cause you future pain. Had the booster shot too. Similar side effects…slight fever, sore arm, and body kind of achy. Really give you credit for deciding to film a video while feeling that way. Take care Rion! :)
@wufar19732 жыл бұрын
Switched to a memory foam pillow: neck soreness went away. Waiting for the updated boosters from moderna for my second booster. Third, the 711s in the states aren’t as good as the ones in Japan(or in any other parts of the Far East). 4th, you can try to change the fluorescent tubes yourself if the landlord refuses…should be cheap to purchase and easy to change out.

Rion, do you know if the yaki onigiri you ate is vegan? It looks very nice. Fun video as always!
@paripitiffany2 жыл бұрын
Hi Salva, I’ve made yaki onigiri before. It’s just white rice that’s been brushed with a sauce made from mirin, sake, sugar, and soy sauce. I think the only questionable ingredient is the soy sauce, as some companies may use flavor enhancers from fish or meat, which may not be indicated on the 7-11 bag. Otherwise, as it has no filling, yaki onigiri is likely to be vegan.
@salva_752 жыл бұрын
