for rose petals i think they appear on where someone has died pretty sure it just takes a while to appear so that allows for the person who died to have a chance of taking it since it is kind of a catch-up mechanic since it gives perma stats and xp also heard that depending on kda the amount of xp the petals gives is increased up to 100%.

Hey Petu, I just wanna share the theory crafting that I was able to develop because of your teachings. More or less, I realized that you can actually use Jack of All Trades and Shield Bash to its full potential without really sacrificing anything just by getting Doran's Blade instead of Doran's Shield at while following it with your normal Dead Man's Plate, Spirit Visage (is overall better than Hollow Radiance in terms of passive, synergy, damage, shielding, price, stats, and gold efficiency), and Merc Treads build since those items actually gives you 10 unique stats on their own. Then for the third item, I found out that going for Navori Flickerblade is actually the perfect item for this rune because not only does it give the two bonus stats that you need to maximize Jack of All Trades, it also gives you the mobility, damage, and survivability that you need despite its offensive stats. I also would love to know your thoughts with my technology because I've been actually finding great success in my games by building Dead Man's Plate, Spirit Visage, Merc Treads, Navori Flickerblade, Unending Despair, and Eclipse/Abyssal Mask in my games. By using this build, I was actually able to consistently deal 3-5k worth of Shield Bash damage, get 2-4k worth of healing from everything, and up to 5-10k worth of shielding due to the synergy that that these items give. But yeah, I would genuinely love to know your thoughts about this build and strategy. Thank you for your motivating content and guide as always Shensei. P.S. I'm gonna post an update about this later on, I'm currently in WIP on my presentation on this build I'm cooking. Will send a link here later once I'm finished.

Isn't the point of hollow radiance the wave clear? Spirit visage doesn't give wave clear at all. I think in his video where he used JoaT, he started doran's blade, but he went wits end for the mr, tenacity, attack speed stats.

With the introduction of Swiftplay, I believe that viability of Hollow Radiance's AOE will significantly decrease given how quick the pace of the game is becoming.

@Asveld swiftplay changes and modifiers don't affect ranked/draft though so I feel like that argument doesn't necessarily work since petu plays ranked. Also, wave clear is still useful for wave management and side laning and your build has no aoe minion damage so shoving sides would take longer. From what I briefly looked at, swiftplay doesn't change how quickly minions die or anything like that so getting waveclear will still be important.

I actually agree that this would certainly be an issue, although I believe that buying Bami's Cinder and not committing to Hollow Radiance would be a viable alternative while you still can't buy Navori Flickerblade, because I genuinely don't think that wave clear would be an issue once you're able to buy it as your third item given the CDR on hit cooldown and the attack speed it provides that allows you to spam your Q nonstop. Hey petu! I had an idea. For me, it doesnt really make sense that gold efficirlwncy is calculated by the cheapest components, because, for example, if they decided to just increase the cost of ruby cristal, every item that has health would artificially become more expensive. I was wondering if a better way wouldnt be to do a huge system of equation, in witch every item is a different equatoon, and every variable is a different stat. Then, a computer program could solve this sistem and that would be a better calculation. (It probably wouldnt change much because the items stats are already balanced by those components gold cost, but i think its a cleaner way either way)

So, you need two legendary items to get tier 3 boots upgrade and you buy Mejai. It's cheap, of course, but it's very bad by itself and probably is not universal decision for every Shen main. So what about redemption? I remember the times when it was a pretty good Shen item and it's pretty cheap. Also, if you would use jack of all trades instead of approach velocity, it will give you at least two unique stacks of this rune: healing and shielding power and mana regen.

In my opinon the three requirements should be: First 3 neutrals First 3 Tier 1 towers First Kill on every enemy champion This balances the challenge of each Feat pretty evenly and actually gives 3 objectives to fight over instead of "get first blood and immediately almost guarantee getting the boots"

Of course even this change wouldn't fix the fundamental flaw with Feats of Strength which is that LEAGUE IS A FUNDAMENTALLY SNOW-BALLEY GAME because kills lead to gold which give you more map pressure and easier kills which give you more gold. The natural pressure the mechanics exert is towards snow-balling and riot's job is balancing that natural pressure in such a way that 1) games feel winnable as often as possible 2) people don't lose hope over the smallest disadvantage 3) abusability of catch-up mechanics is low (this one they really struggle with) 4) there is a fun ebb and flow and general gameplay loop between the natural snowball and the artificial catchup that doesn't feel artificial These are hard tasks and a big issue with League's design is how hard they are to meat. But adding yet another even more drastic snowball mechanic that has bonus demoralization points is such an absurdly stupid idea I hope they fire whoever came up with it. It takes those 4 challenges and supercharges them, it's like they're actively trying to make them worse. Impressively stupid
