Had mine for a few years now, had some minor problems and worked with the Rio folks and solved them. Depending on ones disability this is a great tool. The price is better than some of the other add on power units, I use my almost everyday. So glad that there is a "knobie" tire to handle less than perfect surfaces.

I need to add something to this bike.. not all disable person can jump up the wheelchair easily. So I want to say if you guys can add up a hydraulic system which enables a crippled with 90% disability also to lift up from ground to its original position in wheelchair then this chair would be more useful for persons like me.. please think over it.. if you guys make such bike I will be the first to buy.. @riomobility

A mi estos productos me parecen excesivamente caros, intentaran justificar estos precios, es su trabajó y es normal que intenten justificar lo injustificable pero esto no vale lo que piden. Cómo es posible que una sola rueda sea mas cara que una bicicleta eléctrica normal. Yo soy minusvalído a la fuerza, no lo elegi ,ni yo ni nadie, la mayoría de nosotros no nos podemos permitir estos precios abusivos para una cosa como esta qué es vital para nosotros, es muy injusto. Ser minusvalidos no es un capricho, es una imposición por enfermedad o accidente, por favor dejen de hacer negocios especuladores con nosotros Saludos 😊👍

It would be nice to see an actual wheelchair user loading the hand cycle into the trunk; it is a lot more difficult for someone with paralysis.

The manual wheel chair is built for low speed. With Firefly Power will the wheel chair disintegrate at high speed. This is a safety issue. Bear in mind the video show only a few minutes of performance.

Well, the larger issue is that if it goes faster than 5 mph, it is a moped in my state. Which means you need a motor cycle license and it can't be driven on sidewalks. And it needs a plate, etc. which you can't get with just a chair rolling down the street. Needless to say, you can't drive with this anywhere except private property in my state (Ohio). Or rather, you can, but you run the risk of getting a ticket, losing your regular driver's license, etc...

We have been selling out handcycles for 10 years and never had a reported case of wheelchair failure due to our product. That said we do recommend properly maintaining your wheelchair, including checking all the hardware for tightness.

This video is useless. I have only used my firefly twice because it does NOT connect quickly or easily to the chair. I had it professionally set up the first time, and sweated in public for an hour to connect it the second time. On the third try, I gave up in exhaustion. Not for persons with disability. .
