Use to play with Poncho back in 1970 along with Johnny Proa(trumpet) Richard Ramirez(trumpet) Gilbert Gonzales(sax-trombone) Joe Ramos(guitar and keyboards) Joe Myer(bass guitar)Jesse Mercado(sax) Elijio Ramos(sax-vocals)Alfonso(Poncho)Ramos(sax-vocals & bandleader)Johnny Guerra(guitar)and myself David Silva(trumpet-flugelhorn).. I'm sorry i don't recall the drummers name but he was great.. Alfonso was one of the best singers out there and had a big following.. We would pack the house in everywhere we went but especially the Hi-Ho in Grand Prairie where the owners were I believe the owners of the record label Capri.. Good times..
