rip won the 99 title in college and 04 nba title before he was an all star..fun fact and led both teams in scoring in the finals and playoff/tournament and all season long..people act like he was just a piece he was the foundation for titles

You know what they say. If you are doing something good or you are good at something. you will get hated for it. Jordan already have some respect for Hamilton before he became an all-star and a champion that's why he was on the Wizards. Even if the GOAT of Hooping doesn't admit or say it. he knew that Hamilton's playstyle and cardio would be a problem for any defending shooting guard out there. Imagine Jordan chasing Hamilton inside and outside the paint. He wasn't known for having the best conditioning and any player with a small gas tank would be exploited by Richard easily and brutally.

In MJ's 1st year with the Wizards, he averaged 22 ppg which may seem pretty good to a casual... but it was on just 41% shooting and a God awful 18% 3 point shooting. Good thing Rip got out of there.

rip was good on the wizards by 2001....so...he had a rough rookie year but by year 2 was solid and by year 3 was all star level..and by year 4 in 2002 was very well known so when he went to the pistons it was shocking...
