Nice tribute brah. Because of the climate I will say this.....i was born and raised in the manors for the first half of my young life. Like many single mothers in the area, my mother moved us where she could afford to live. The second half of my life I lived on the other side of the Robertson Center in the Heights. All my family grew up in the Manors and went to Norte. My sister and I were the first ones to attend Grant. My affiliation was with the DPH, but my enemies were never MG's. I played ball and went to school with MG's and still friends till this day. As a matter of principle, because I'm just built like that, I raised my kids in the Manors. Some of the younger folks didn't like it at first due to being blinded by that Red and Green line, but came to see me as good people. Just as they are good people. I never allowed my son to be involved with either set. Football and books were the key. His best friend, whom I treat as a son and would lay my life down for his is from the Manors. Don't make no difference. It's all love from me. I coach kids because I love my neighborhood (Strawberry Manor/Del Paso Heights) and want to project a positive image on the denizens of this great area. Like this song/tribute, sends a positive message to a lost friend and good guy, we can all learn from it. Living together makes us better, stronger and more of a force for positivity and growth than killing each other, living and dying in the pen and being separated. I know it's a long ways off, but that once combined community I grew up in will come back. It just takes people like Tosh and others to inspire and teach the youngstas the difference. Those of us who grew up in the gang culture and was blessed to survive it, need help overcoming some of our bad habits too. It starts with us coming together and facing our own insecurities and then reaching out in some way to the youth. The youth are those in their 20s and down. We can't skip a generation and wait for change. It has to start at the top. I love all y'all man. This Dennis, coach Dennis that fucking Muslim that wouldn't let us sell drugs in the court. Change a little something about you everyday and live man. DPH 400 rep/100 Skanless rep. RIP to the lil homie and everyone else lost on both sides of the Center to violence and prison. It's a recurring cycle that we can redirect. Long winded. Got a little emotional.

Damn that’s crazy I never knew Young Junie passed away. RIP I was just thinking about his album My Ghetto Life how I used to slap his album constantly when I was 14 years old. I used to be like damn I wanna rap with this guy one day..back then in my mind I felt like we was the same age. So I looked him up to peep the album again and came across this song. Sad man I looked up to him as one of the Sacramento pioneers.

Tosh Musiq I’m not even mad at it homie, we all lived through the same senseless bullshit; guess what? It ain’t gonna stop, we all seen darkness. I got folks all through Sacramento and I’m good in my own skin. I am an old head, yes. I don’t do the keyboard banging. Keep that same energy when the whiteman come for you on some racial shit...Toshan thanks family for speaking on it but we know not too many can remove the heart. ☮️ Toshan how can I reach out to you?
