Hannah, I am so sorry to hear this. I lost my green parakeet one year ago and it broke my heart. She will wait for you at the rainbow bridge. I also have a couple of budgies up there (they lived to be 18 years old). Monster can play with them until we've fulfilled our destiny here on earth and are ready to reunite with them 💚🦜💛 Please give extra attention to Marvin. He feels the loss too!

Oh my, I’m so sorry for your loss. Any pet is hard to say goodbye to but birds are especially close to us because they imprint on us in such a special way. I pray my Quaker, Ivy, outlives me. And who we adopted at the tender age of 5 months old and is now going on 5years old, is my special girl and she thinks the sun rises and sets on my shoulders. That’s just life with a parrot. I would be devastated if I lost her before her before her 30-35 year age span. But I’m 68 so we shall see. Prayers are with you and your feathered and furry flock!

@@TropicalPlantAddict Caiques are such characters, love them! We originally set out to get one of those or a Ringneck, but couldn’t find one nearby when we decided to get a parrot. Quakers were also on my radar and something just clicked between me and Ivy the moment I saw her scruffy pinfeathery self. Lol However having a lone bird and no flockmate (doesn’t have to be same species) are tyrants of your time (I should have got two). But they usually get along great with caiques and conures. Let me just say, from the time she gets up until I put her to bed, the moment I walk away you would think I’d left the planet and she fears she will never see me again. 🤪😳 But I totally love her.

Omg i know how you feel but a lot of people wont because it's only a bird. I am not ashamed have tears in my eyes as the other bigger parrot will miss him as well. Had to sell my gouldian finches a week ago due to not enough time and room and that feeling is also hard even knowing they will have a great new home. I would buy a new monster if i was you so the other one has a friend

Yes considering she had the hernia and other issues I think 10 was a good age. Hmm I think he misses chatting to her but he’s out all the time and gets lots of attention so he’s ok. Might possibly get another bird later on in the year 💚🦜
