I know I’m late to the party but just got around to this tutorial. Agreed 100% that if I hadn’t suffered thru the months it took mastering the beef hook, this trick would be extremely frustrating. As such, I’m landing it pretty consistently after just an hour or two. If you’re having trouble, try using a longer string. 2-3 inches longer than you normally use. Bigger slack loops =easier to land. Thanks Joe. This one is my favorite hook trick so far

Thanks for this one Joe. I have to try it.Looks like almost like a beef hook in the opposite direction. Which took me longer to master than any other trick I’ve learned. The tips seem the same so hoping I’ll get this one much quicker

Hey Joe! Do you have a tutorial for that quick slack GT @ 0:45?

This is hard. The yoyo has hit my hand so many times from doing an accidental bind. It literally caused me to bleed. Even plastic yoyos hurt. It still looks cool enough to endure through the pain.

I was going to go there too. Also, I also now know why I haven't been able to land the beef hook... I have not been pulling the non throw thumb back far enough from the finger to create a large enough gap for the string to get around the back ( and center ) of the yoyo.

Helps me to stick my TH thumb under the closest string, helps ensure the whip is wide enough.

Some ideas that you subconsciously store when you learn beefhook will be helpful with this trick!
