School computer lab story: So OP, do you design games and/or websites for a living now? House/jacuzzi story: OP, that senior officer may have seen thru the bs, hopefully your friend or his family contacted him, but you have an enemy. Get a few security cameras, including a doorbell type and maybe a couple of hidden interior cameras. Karen is likely just biding her time before trying to make trouble again, be ready for it.

He did ask them to leave, right out of the gate. Given he was new to the area, having bought the home from long time owners, explaining the situation of the purchase is reasonable. It was only one of the two women who went Karen, then the responding officers until their senior officer ripped all three of the Karen's a good one.

I think both that story's OP and his wife are misunderstanding something. If they were originally splitting the HOA dues 50/50, the fee being waived simply means they each have $200 more to spend from their respective accounts every month. They are not receiving an extra $400 a month and having to decide whether to split it or not.
@krystalfloods6197
@krystalfloods6197 2 ай бұрын
I agree with you, but I’m not surprised because of how Reddit is. I bet if genders were also reversed the comments would’ve been different, but I remember that post when it happened and they were attacking him. I think of it as a job, he is doing the work to get that extra money. Even though it’s basically just not having to pay the hoa fee he is still doing a job. I don’t get why the wife should benefit from it when she’s not doing any of the work. A lot of people also seem to think that just because you’re married, everything of yours has to belong to your spouse. Well, technically reddit thinks if you’re a guy everything you own has to belong to your spouse. If you’re a woman a lot of times the comments are completely different.

Story 1: Nice story. I remembered my time back in high school when I used to create web pages.... well, for class though. Heck, the entire class including me actually created the high school web page/website and I was 15 at the time (everyone else was 16 and 17) which mean I was the youngest to help build web pages. Fun times. Then at 16 (as a junior) I would edit some web pages of school website and upload student bulletins, and update it via some FTP software. I came here a long way in technology, way before MySpace even existed. Oh, my free time at home was playing Grand Theft Auto, Driver, Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, some WWF/WCW games, etc. and surfing the internet via dial-up. lol good times!!!

Story 3: NTA. If the $400 HOA fee is waived while he's a sitting member of the HOA board, then the $400 that would have gone into paying the HOA should go into a separate account that NEITHER he or his wife touch. Because once he's off the board, that fee will be reapplied and it's better to have a fund started for it now.

I love all Digimon games and Digimon in general. It's because during the rebuilding of my family me and my older brother had a PS2 and some games, including Digimon Rumble. It was beautiful to me, and i played it everyday after school until the PlayStation died. When i learned about the anime i was so happy and adored it to the point when i thought i finished the show i cried hard, but was relieved when i noticed there was a 2nd season. Later on i watched the third season which was my favorite and even Digimon fusion. Then the darkest day and time in my life when Netflix removed the first 3 seasons. I was never the same until it was added to Hulu days before my 18th birthday and including the 4th and later on the remake of the 1st season.

When we bought a condo unit in a larger building, there was a COA to handle the building’s court and, hallways, plumbing, boiler for the radiator, etc. my real estate suggested the I should try to become part of the association board. They’re usually not a-holes to their own. But this building was mostly retirees, or a good number of students for the nearby university. Most of the decisions we made were like… the plumbing is old, and copper is no longer considered safe. We could either rip it out, or there’s some kind of treatment where all the interiors of all the pipes are coated with acrylic. The groundskeeper was SUPER passionate about his job. The previous guy trimmed some hedges really badly, so the branches blocked half of the public sidewalk. If we trimmed it back, all the leaches would be gone. So we had some talks with him, then just told him to do what he do. Pretty soon, he’d filled that space with some really pretty shrubs that coincidently attracted lots of humming birds. Since my day job was phone systems, I got to research systems for buzzing the gates open when we got visitors. I’m honestly not sure if there were even any rules that could result in fines to individual owners. It was all just maintaining out old building (some one was even looking into how we could declare it a historical landmark.). There was a bus stop by a corner, and when Uni classes let out, there’d be like 50 people loitering there waiting for the bus. Over the years, they’d gotten some other shrubs all deformed. Like a master crafting a bonsai tree for 50 years.

With the classic car story, Lehto’s Law channel has gone over the ramifications of a tow company taking a car illegally. BTW, Steve Lehto did work as a tow truck driver prior to going to law school. The minimum that a tow company can get for illegally towing a car is loss of state towing license, certain states have increased penalties to include GTA to the driver and the owner of the company. If she didn’t have proof of ownership the tow company owner did not do due diligence as a copy of the divorce decree with the car listed as her property would be one of the required documents not her flirting with him.

My favorite game from when I was younger back in high school was Star Craft. A few guys in computer class was playing it one day an when I asked about it they introduced me to it. They even showed me how to play it an I found out that one of the players in the game was in fact the teacher of the class.

@@sooskevington6144 There is a British variant of English and the Oxford English Dictionary is written for it, hence "wroth" being the pronunciation of "wrath". If you want a dictionary for the American variant, Merriam-Webster's Dictionary is the one to check.

@@JamesDavy2009 What you call the 'British variant' of English is in fact the true and original English. English originated in ENGLAND, the name speaks for itself. As for the American language it has deteriorated so far that it no longer deserves to be called 'American English' and the sooner the word 'English' is dropped from the name the better.

The H.O.A, story. Yes in my opinion the guy is being a jerk.Yes he's sitting on the board, and he's being compensated, but so what. It's reduced the costs of living, which in a marriage they both should benefit from.What he fails to realize is her opinions are going to impact his decisions on maters, and as a result she's going to have an impact on things. As far as where you live, my advice is don't join if you can opt out. The reason I say this is that while you or her maybe on the board, is that for a while things may go smoothly, but a change in the board will shift things, and they can find ways to push you out. Which al it would take is a board vote of no confidence to go for removal. If you must join, then be sure to place within the rules strict limitations as to the power of the board, and what can and can't be enacted as rules. Then make certain that those are irreversible.
