Thank thankyou thankyou! Just what I was looking for... I have several Motion and FCPX tutorial packages in the Ripple School. I've been a way from VFX and CX for a few years. Now I'm heading up to Lapland as a Safari Guide and wanted to animate a route map for the 650 mile trip into the arctic circle where I'll be working... this is exactly what I wanted!

Thank you! Btw, why did the shadow vanish when you switched to 3D? You need to add a light source in order to keep it visible? Cheers
