I have to agree, even when you watch the influencers, they might compare 40 foundations, or 40 palettes, at least a third of them will be drugstore brands and they look exactly the same at the end...its how the product lasts, the colour range of foundation, the colour pay-off of the eyeshadows, etc that matters, you don't take your make-up kit with you, so who knows if you used Gucci or ELF!???

As always, the look you created is beautiful. I agree that the NARS palette is a letdown, especially for a brand knows for its blush. While a full-face review is fine, what I really look for in KZbin videos is knowledge and that's where you really shine IMO. For instance, right now the trendy silver/gray/blue/black palettes (e.g., Pat McGrath Subliminal, Natasha Denona Xenon) have me drooling. I love the colors, but have no idea how to make them work on my dark brown, hooded eyes! My eyes end up looking small and darker brown. I'd love to get your insight on if there's a way to make them work for someone like me.

Risa, I have that Nars blush palette and it is beautiful. But I quickly realized that I had to use a densely packed brush, almost like a foundation brush to get the best pigment. The more Mat peach shade hotspot is so beautiful and I gave medium skin tone.

Your videos are great and helpful. I have always had oily skin and when I aged I started getting flakey skin with my oily skin. I have hooded eyes. I was so glad to find your videos. It gives me choices. I us IT for my foundation but I am glad to see other products. The eye tutorials were really helpful for me. I watched the Nars video. I like Nars, but for some reason haven’t been buying some of the major brands of the past like Lancôme, Nars or Estée Lauder. It just seems there are more fun releases and cleaner brands at better price points. I’ve been liking Danessa Myricks, Kosas, and Rare Beauty among others. I also feel like some of the price points for foundation of the big brands is out of hand when I’ve actually been finding just as good foundation at the drugstore. Hope some of the feedback helps. I love your videos and I have hooded eyes, so I want all the tips.

I don't know about anyone else but your Videos, help me a lot. I really didn't know how to apply makeup until I started watching your videos. I really didn't wear makeup unless I went out for a special occasion. But you taught me how to apply it properly where it looks good, not cakey. Since I've gotten my top teeth pulled out. I have felt very ugly and unattractive. So I wear makeup now to make me feel better and look better. it is your technique and the way you apply your hooded eye makeup. I’ve been so on the fence about getting the new Fenty skin tint but after watching your video I’m going to purchase it. At first I was thinking…. Hi Risa! I watch your videos all the time and am a hooded eye gal like you. There are some things that will draw me to watch a video just for the content. When I get a new palette or new make up I am always drawn to videos of people using them. I like to see different interpretations and a variety of looks created. Seeing make up I want or have listed in the title of a video will make me watch them sometimes just to see if it’s worth the investment. Or for inspiration if I already own it. Hope that helps!
