The Sufferer and the Witness era was his peak. 2007 Tim was the best he's ever sounded, by a mile. He sounds better here than he has the past few years for sure. Now if only they could get back to writing songs like they did for their first 4 albums...

@@MrRyanxdavey their song writing ability has definitely gone down a little bit. If I had to guess it’s partially due to being married adults with children and nice houses. Mindset is a little different than when they were angsty teens/20 year olds struggling to get by.

To me , “ Rise Against's music ” can be characterized as “ fast , aggressive , progressive , relevant , under-appreciated , versatile & power-ful ” · If I could try to distill / condense / extract ( the essence , of ) their sound - & then put it , into 7 words - those would be my adjectives , of choice. However , if I was to use “ compound adjectives ” , to describe their music - here's my choice , of words : - Fast-paced - Melodically-aggressive - Forward-thinking - Mostly-relevant - Hugely-unappreciated - Highly-versatile - Life-empowering In terms of musical popularity , they may not be “ the biggest band , on the Planet ” ; but they're certain-ly “ the band , that has the biggest impact , on my life ” . This whole set was so powerful and a really poignant moment for me in 2020. There was this whole intense misery that had become normal... partner says, “hey wanna watch this with me?” Nah.. I’m just going to go stare at a wall. And then I heard the music. And all of a sudden I remembered what it felt like when this music was coming out... young and hopeful. And when I heard the moments of silence between songs - how loud it was without an audience - I felt the tragedy of how fragile everything is. And today as I reflect over the past year, I feel hopeful once again. I haven’t been to a concert in years, but I can’t wait until we can get back out there. This set was a massive turning point for me and I’m so thankful for it.
