I don’t know how many times while watching I got goosebumps, then cried, then got truly inspired to dig & wake up that pure feminine energy inside of me. We all indeed have Goddess in ourselves & this goddess of goddesses showed us that we should not be afraid to let her out! When we hold together, inspire each other, and respect each other, there’s no one stronger than us! Let’s heal the inner child, burn everything & then rise like a phoenix! Sending much love & light to y’all, this short film absolutely touched me.. 🪬✨🕊

Thank you! I’m a 57 yrs old woman who has seen women separated on so many levels. This video is powerful, beautiful, strong and liberating! In a retreat in to oneness this weekend during my meditation I saw myself dancing round and round like a bird starting to fly for the first time! I think through this beautiful video you have opened a gait of freedom for us all young and old of all races and cultures. I applaud your bravery. Let all women sing, dance, scream and cry like we’ve just begun to fly, because we have! Much love

I wanted to take a moment to honor the skepticism in the comments, for it allowed to be exposed to this questioning, which allowed me to sink further and deeper into the alchemizing of the album. I now stand stronger into mud of creation, squeezing it between my toes as I ground myself in the power invocated through the songs. I understand that this album is a birthing process, it is the goddess rising. And expressing, thus honoring the sacred rage as well as the powerful, deliciously overwhelming potency of her sexuality is vital ground for the goddess to flower her flowers, her other aspects. A woman's anger and sexuality have both been weaponized against her, effectively shackling her into culture for thousands of years. I echo the sentiment - No more. It is vital she claims these aspects integral to her, to creation, and they are beautifully expressed through the artist. I could feel the kundalini activated, rising in my back and covering my body in goosebumps while listening to the album. Not a small feat to achieve through music! I am thankful for the artist to offer her medicine, one that I find that I deeply need, as well as countless other women no doubt. This has helped me feel more grounded - the element I struggle the most with. I encourage those who were looking for other aspects of the goddess, likely some aspects that they do embody themselves, to express those aspects within their own lives and artistry while also honoring the aspects of the Goddess expressed here, for all women.

Sooooo appreciating your honoring and approach of inquiry for the film and those viewing. Your comment along with all of its expressive language, and specific personal description along with the need for women's reclaiming of their emotional/mental/physical sovereignty - speaks to me. Isn't it liberating to feel that rising (Kundalini) energy being expressed in the body - and to recognize it for what it is - as so natural and alive in us??!! Also appreciate your encouraging others for what they may not have found here - and to especially in particular - to find a way to put their reflection in words, art, song, dance, etc. mmmmm, yes - a call to action 🙏💖 Love that you described the film presentation as 'a birthing' in its own right. It brought so much energy up in me, without a doubt, there's so much more to go into birthing what the Collective Voice needs to experience in freeing themselves. Thank You so much for your in depth response. 💎💝💎🙏

I can absolutely appreciate the production level of this film and the artistry that went into it. It is also wonderful to hear that so many women felt inspired by it. It is a great and wonderful thing to inspire and to be inspired. If I’m being honest though, I’ve been experiencing quite a bit of anger since I watched this yesterday. I know; everyone’s a critic, right? Please know that I mean no disrespect in sharing these thoughts and that my intention is simply to bring what has come up for me into the huge topic of discussion of the rising goddess. I sincerely hope that my thoughts are received as I intended; without offense. The body is beautiful. Women are beautiful. Sex is beautiful. All of these things have been perverted and commodified in modern society . The world would no doubt be a radically different place, for the better, if the majority held women and sex as sacred. There is undeniably so much healing that needs to take place around women’s sex and around women and sex in general. I do not disagree that the world overall is more centered around men’s pleasure and that we need a paradigm shift. Having said all that, it doesn’t feel like much of a paradigm shift for a female musician to be dancing in overtly sexual ways and literally simulating sex whilst wearing next to no clothing. Objectification is in the eye of the beholder, I guess but I’m really not sure how more of the same is going to bring us different outcomes. Okay so, Shakti was called out in the beginning of the film and there were scenes of crying and screaming and that’s supposed to indicate to the viewer that what we’re witnessing is sacred and not just more objectification of women disguised as liberation and empowerment? If I’m being totally honest, I was so annoyed by the first 20 minutes of the film that I literally found myself rolling my eyes and feeling like the crying and screaming was completely performative and disingenuous. “Rise of the goddess”, okay, great but rise of the goddess into what? Someone who plays more deeply into the stereotype of women being hysterical sex objects? We have so much more to offer. There are so many more elements of the goddess that the world desperately needs to rise and I would have loved to see much more of that in a film entitled “Rise of the Goddess.” Women’s emotions and sexuality can be powerful beyond measure and they can both offer great healing but the film felt extremely unbalanced to me. Let’s unleash women’s pleasure, yesss!!! What about the pleasure of nurturing and being of service outside of our sexuality? Narcissism and self centeredness are out of control. There is an assault on women and feminine energy. There is a very clear campaign to get women to reject being nurturing, to reject being a mother (not all women need to be mothers, of course), and to reject being of service. The world so desperately needs those qualities to rise not just our sexuality. I’ve listened to Vylana speak on a few podcasts and her words were filled with such substance. The only reason that I got through the first 20 minutes was because I kept waiting for there to be more substance to the film and after a certain point when I realized it wasn’t coming, I made myself watch it to the end so, that I could leave an informed comment. The last 5 minutes when the violinist was introduced were my favorite. The poetry was beautiful. I really appreciated the addition of the other women as well. I also respect and have gratitude for the intention of wanting to uplift and empower women. I feel like I could say a lot more but this comment is already quite long. If anyone reads this and disagrees or agrees with me or has anything to add, I would love to hear your thoughts. Respectfully, of course.
@justinajanda2342 жыл бұрын
I agree, I also felt like it lacked substance. To me it was like a typical sexy music video with a mask of the “Divine Feminine”.
@justinajanda2342 жыл бұрын
Also the spiritual phrases it uses are so over-used that they start to become meaningless. It just felt so shallow to me that I feel irritated with this representation of the feminine. It’s like a woman playing dress-up as the divine feminine rather than a deep embodiment. I am sorry that is so harsh, it just made me cringe. I also believe that this is the time for the Divine Feminine to rise, but this just wasn’t a full representation of that.
@gemma90332 жыл бұрын
I never comment but felt Compelled …..Absolutely agree, with your well considered point. I’m also confused by the message coupled with constant sex simulation, seems very ego based. Also struggling to see how this is any sort of paradigm shift or empowering to women! Also happy to hear if I’ve missed something! I feel for the women of Iran 🇮🇷 & around the world who are facing real sexism /oppression issues!!! Would like to send peace and empowerment to the women of Iran & elsewhere 🙏🏽 May those who have a ‘platform’ or ability to help them do so …. In a more intelligent/meaningful way, that ensures respect and & actual change ……then dancing naked!
@Siriusly32 жыл бұрын
I got to the root of why this made me so angry. I feel Gaslit. "Ladies, I know we've been objectified and commodified and conditioned to view eachother as competition BUT...hear me out....actually, if we put ourselves out there in a much more aggressively sexual way, we will heal ALL of that and men will respect and honor us as sacred." This is the music video equivalent of the creepy "spiritual" guy at the hot springs who wants to liberate your goddess so that he can have sex with her. How are we going to solve a problem by doing more of what IS the problem? Also, I find it very peculiar that Vylana's husband, Aubrey Marcus just spoke about how he renounced pornography because it commodified women and he didn't want to participate in it any more however, he's celebrating the fact that his wife just released a piece of pornography for all the world to see. In the podcast, I heard the message loud and clear about healing the sister wound and alchemizing the spirit of comparison and competition into inspiration. So, the average women is supposed to feel empowered and draw inspiration from yet ANOTHER super fit women dancing around practically naked and simulating sex in a music video because this one is entitled "Rise of the Goddess"? Talk about shifting competition. The only way to compete with that is to blast your sex out into the world for everyone to see. Good luck though because you most likely don't have the resources that come with a multi millionaire husband who has a gigantic platform. And, if you happen to find yourself having any other feelings then "Yassss Queen" you must be comparing, competing or jealous because apparently, those are the only elements of the current paradigm that need shifted? As long as women continue to be portrayed predominantly as sex objects to be lusted after in media, then the commodification of women continues and the value structure based on fuckability and therefore the sister wound prevails. In my observation that game is extremely disempowering for the majority of women. If you're participating in it then you are perpetuating it. A major component in shifting the paradigm involves womens participation in it. We need to put more value on the many other aspects of the goddess that the world so desperately needs to rise. How is this any different then WAP? Because she called her pussy a flower and cried? I wouldn't have felt any thing at all and would have moved on with my life already if this had just been sold to me as what it actually is: more of the same old. We have a lot of freedoms in the USA. If you want to dance naked in your music videos and simulate sex, you are certainly free to do so and you will most likely find a lot of support and abundance in it. It's insulting though when you try to disguise the old paradigm under some fancy language and convince women that THIS time it's going to liberate and empower us.

@@Siriusly3 “Yaaaas Queen” 😅😂 You deserve some praise for actually having substance … this has been bothering me! Such an articulate well thought out comment. Please 🙏🏽 repost out of this reply/thread so more people, get to see a deeper perspective! My ability to articulate is impaired atm, so I really appreciate your comment. I rarely comment but was rather surprised to feel that I was in a minority that felt quite the opposite to empowered by it & that’s NOT because I’m “jealous” having had more male attention than I would desire in my time! I felt I was sold a lie by the title of the production, being Aubrey Marcus fan also watched parts of podcast but did find some parts too painful to listen to, so I don’t know much about her, I see a lot of ego/self centred..I can make a good guess that she isn’t a mother, not sure if she’s suffered significant trauma that compelled her to act like a porn star, I’m sure she lives a comfortable life .. again I don’t really know much about her, nor do I want to after feeling like she’s using a “spiritual term” to profit from and feed her own ego . Rather than coming from a place of experience, deep knowledge, wisdom with a real desire to, or strategies to make any credible or significant positive change 🤨 .

I love the representation of many body types at the end too. It's hard to find the words and it feels like thank you just wont do. But, thank you. And thank you Goddess. The way I grew up suppressed this fully and I have never truly been in my own power or knowing what that truly is. No guides, lost to my own self.. watching it generation after generation... the suppressed feminine, only meant for bearing children and keeping the home, doing as you're told. I was the hard child, never truly knowing what i was looking for or where to look, only knowing there is something more, bigger. The pains and fears I've held onto through the fighting, like I'm surrounded by this armor, but I'm not in battle anymore... your video, your voice, your music, imagery, and listening to you talk in other places has been opening wounds i have not fully understood, wounds i didnt even know where there. Wounds i thought i healed but really just pushed away. It feels like I'm finally starting to find my direction, what I'm looking for. •Thank you• Thank you for being a light in the dark for so many. Your work is opening things even if we don't fully realize what ❤️ May your life be full of light and love ❤️

I'm trying to imagine being one of the actors/dancers in this video. This is all about women and what we have been through and what type of powers we have. The young girls are watching us. So let's have lots of crying and humping chairs with no clothes on. Because women are emotional and sexy and that's what female empowerment is about. Some crying for vague, generic sexism reasons. and lots of sex. Because empowered women sexualize themselves in front of strangers at every opportunity. Make sure you tell your daughters and sisters!!! So deep... 🤦😆

May we all rise together. Masculine and Feminine, Co creating from our HeArts🎨 I stand in this truth and acknowledge all the comments here. By coming together we show the truth of divine union. She is a mirror, what is rising, and what still needs to rise and heal, in our feminine collective wounding. Aho sistars 🌅🦄🌲🐉🌠
What's REALLY Beautiful is the way a mother loves her child. The Mother as the Feminine. A mother who cares nothing of her physical appearance of how she represents herself to the world .. to her husband.. she just IS. She is Love. She is compassion. She is caring for all the parts of her and her children. She is total acceptance. She is One who does not need power or validation. She loves. She loves her children and cares for them so tenderly. She's not out there expressing her lust and tribal carnal sensations for likes. For recognition. She does not have those desires. She loves all as her children, as her friend. As her pure and precious mirror. There is no man She must seduce. Or win favor with. She favors her self. Her own Heart. And that of her children. She,.. Mother.. Goddess of Unconditional Love and Purity and grace and Gentleness... and.. selflessness.. needs nothing from outside herself, she's existing only as love and goodness.. innocence and pure Presence.. completely naked in her Soul. Bearing nothing but her open heart and kind spirit... She is Divine Feminine. She is Truth. She is The One.❤

This is BEYOND powerful. Huge respect for having created this masterpiece of attracting the supreme goddesses that reign in the sacred feminine of ourselves. I feel visceral after watching this - like I saw myself at every stage. Wiling to go deeper into connecting once more with my favorite deities.
