I still play too. Me and my roommates to some occasional LAN. Problem is, this game can’t handle much and crashes if too many units are in the match. I don’t remember having this problem back when I played on the CD version, but then again I never played against Brutal enemies much and didn’t play with friends back then. I use Worldbuilder too. It seems quite a few people who played Generals have played it with their dad lol.

The only C&C game I had on CD was Generals + Zero Hour. I miss having CD’s bro… they were exciting just to look at. I remember playing my Dad’s PS2, holding the games, putting them in and watching that PS2 intro? So cool. It’s amazing how I didn’t even know what the console was called back then but now I know what it was lol. It had a screen that attached to the top.

Yeah I think this is the best strategy game of all time the rise of the Reds. The only reason why I don't play this is because when me and my brothers play against AI'.. we get a mismatch error and we get kicked out.. been trying so many ways to fix this problem and still no solution I think we would have to wait for a remaster four generals Zero Hour in the future so they can fix it

It’s a common problem with this game my friend. I ran into it all the time with my buddies. I think you need to set your in game IP to the same number or something. Try going to options and making it the same, while also being connected through LAN cable. Also, disconnect from the internet. Make sure windows allows your game to make external communications or whatever. Tell me if it works, I might be able to help you further if it does not.

@@pauljohn3792 download and instal Genrals first cuz ZeroHour is just an expansion-mod, then youl download ZeroHour and can enjoy the game also there are ShockWave and RiseOfTheReds mods they are good as much as ZeroHour, im pretty sure you know how to instal a game tho ? oh and get DaemonTolls youl need it to mount the files since theres no CDs :D the CD key is on youtube just type it and youl see it the Key is RIGHT on the screen as you pres the video even before without watching the video you can see the Key hope you understand me if not we can take this to a step by step cheers.

U can download this game for free (around 1.9 gigs)... don't wanna post a link here but you can even find it on KZbin (with links and everything). It's an 2003 game.... you should be able to run it np... at least on low settings... and if you need to change the resolution you just go in Documents\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data and with notepad you change Options file... scroll down till you find Resolution and edit it to whatever is native to your PC
