This is such a wonderful game! The combat is extremely engaging and they really nailed the parry mechanics. I can't think of a good reason to dislike this game other than not being into close combat action rpgs. Its visuals are really good, a lot better than what Team Ninja usually does. Combat is great as always. Even the story is more exciting than usually. Sure, open world games are not everybody's piece of cake and you have the occasional fetch quests but most quests I've done so far are loaded with action.

I made Vergil as my created male character and they absolutely give you the tools to do it on purpose. I finished making it zoomed out and said damn that’s perfect. But realized after they totally give you the tools to make all sorts of different characters from video games. It was definitely a choice and not just me being creative like I thought I was at first haha

Normal is tough, straight up. Don’t feel bad for dropping the difficulty, easy might make it a little more enjoyable. Also if your struggling, maybe try straight blocking over counter spark. Finished the game last night and I really enjoyed this game, so much depth, options and things to do, really hope it comes to PC eventually!!!

I unfortunately listened to the hateful reviews on this. I love Team Ninjas games, but wasnt too impressed by wolong. I thought this was more of that, and i was dead wrong. Its incredibly fun and addicting. Id say its like nioh and ghost of tsushima mixed with some cool ideas. Its not perfect, but its perfectly fun.

My fellow gamers who will get this game , just do everything before going to the next region. Do all your bond missions, fugitives , cats , shrines , go to gliding school, also if you see a white banner , with an exclamation point help them out, your ronin level will increase . Always go to longhouse to talk to Allie’s and give them gifts . I’m level 25 still in Yokahoma chapter 1.

I‘m a huge Team Ninja fan and got every NG pluses as possible in all their games. However in Rise the combat feels more often off than not. Its more luck than skill because you cannot read all moves properly. In Wo Long parry windows were short too but way better to read imho. To me this game is way worse than both Nioh’s and Wo Long. The always stance switching was also more annoying than fun. Again Nioh 2 is still their magnus opus.

Been playing this game on my PS5 and Dragon Dogma on my PC today….Both games have their own strengths and weaknesses but gotta say I been having fun with both…..Loved Nioh’s combat and I love samurai themed games so its a win/win for me….Rise of the Ronin doesn’t even look as bad as they say…Its not mind blowing but not bad in the slightest….

Man so many people were complaining before the game even released about how the game's graphics don't look good so the game had to be ass, I hope they regret talking crap on a game thats actually fun. It doesn't look great but its not even THAT bad, also graphics aren't what team ninja was ever known for. This is how you know gamers in general are truly spoiled, expecting every game to look like ghost of tsushima, marvels spiderman or last of us. If your able to get past the stupid notion that graphics mske or break a game, this game tho alittle janky can be fun, and it is one of those games that you end up putting time into without realizing. The worlds sorted in a way to where you will naturally come across stuff as you make your way to the next main objective so it becomes a "oh I might as well do this, its not that far" plus the combat is enjoyable and have a pretty rewarding feel as the impact of slashes as well as the critical hits are so satisfying. It does get challenging at times even on easy because npcs WILL gang up on you, however once you learn to move around the field even that get so much easier to handle. Ots not a perfect game far from it, but its still super enjoyable. I just wanna end this off by sayin to just learn to buy games because YOU want to enjoy them, instead of buying based on general appeal.

There was a really odd bias towards this game. Im a lil bit older and been gaming 3.5yrs now and I cannot believe how toxic some of the community is. I'm so glad I ignored the drama queens and negative Nancy's. Ronin is actually one of my new favorite games and it really shines after 2 hours. The graphics aren't that bad at all. Just a lil less detail to favor its awesome performance. So many people want others to be miserable just because they don't have a Playstation, or picked DD2, or just hate people enjoying something they don't like. Seems now everyone who is actually playing it, truly loves it

@@made.fresh.daily. the banners you touch and “rest at” reset the enemies and bases not cleared. When you die to an enemy, they have your xp that is lost of you die to them. The blocking/parrying window is tight and precise. Just because it has a difficulty slider, doesn’t mean it is not a souls-like.

Playing this game and I’m really enjoying it. Loving it and this guy starts out saying not to explore starting out is a fool. No start out exploring and clearing out the first area and the second area. You fine a lot of loot that will help you out early in the game. Also helps you level up to face harder enemies. I think people hating on this game either never played a RPG open world game like RDR and fallout. if they did they hated them too. Also they are people who found the game is hard to play. Great game open world RPG. You feel Badass after beating each enemy you face. Also your origin isn’t set in stone. It can be changed to fit your fighting style.

playing the game the sensation it transmits is not 60 fps, even if it maintains it most of the time. There is something wrong that gives the combat a feeling of lack of smoothness and fluidity almost as if you were playing at 40 fps rather than 60.
