I play single player games to have fun and kick ass and enjoy a good story. Life is frustrated enough and for a video game to make you want pull your hair out isn't for me. There are people who are just that good and I'm not that young anymore im now 37 and want to chill and game. I love ghost of tsushima and i so want my ghost of tsushima vibes and I'll be getting this game for that.

Does anyone know if there's dismemberment in the game? I used to keep hacking at the enemies body during their death animations on Nioh 2 if they kept killing me before I finally beat them ☺😊

I just hope there's a bit of stealth killing to it as well that it's not just all Hack n slash. One of the things I loved about ghost of tsumia you could tackle the game in several ways. I hope the game has that sort of element. I really enjoyed that game and I hope this is similar in someways.

The thing that made me drop Nioh is the extremely convoluted and cut story. I didn't like the "Stage" levels (or Mission). The constant getting back in menus broke the immersion. It was though for me to get involved in it.

Every time i see a game that looks good I get so excited than I look into and it's a soulslike with no difficulty settings and I get passed off after an hour. I'll have to give his and Elden ring a try.

Elden ring is hard man period. But you can use summons and get help in many ways. So it's fair at the end of the day. If you expect to beat the end game bosses first try by yourself your in for a very rude awakening. The endgame areas and bosses don't play around. 😂😂😂😂

My reason for being excited it that we're playing a bit of Japan's history and it's open world. Previous games by Team Ninja are irrelevant, I mean this is more realistic in setting not fantasy driven. The graphics aren't a big issue, I've played through a few generations of gaming so it's not a downer, gameplay over graphics that's what I grew up believing can't complain there.

Really hoping the game is more like Sekiro. The stuff that made me frustrated with Nioh 2 were the combos that had me paying more attention to pressing buttons on the controller than to the fight itself. And since you can't do that, it means memorizing many complicated sets of button presses. I know a lot of people love memorizing complicated button sequences, but I hate it and am terrible at it.

Due to additional needs. Overcomplicated systems can lock me out. However, when I looked deeper into this it does have more accessibility settings. So pre ordered. I Hope team ninja can deliver. I've dealt with stances in Ghost of Tsushima, so hopefully it's somewhat transferable.

Hopefully you get to play it well like the rest of us. Not sure if you've played Nioh series of games (2 of them) but those games also had stances and the games were quite difficult. There's a slew of different attacks for each weapon type as they all had pretty large skill trees. The stances in Nioh carried over to other weapon types. The combat is definitely more complex than Ghosts of Tsushima as I played all the games. Not sure what your obstacle is, but hopefully they have something that will allow you to play it well.

Seemingly you can't run around the open world together with your friends and fight the enemies scattered throughout? I usually love doing that with friends. By the co-op description, it seems as if the other players can only be active in your session during the story missions. If so, personally, that's a let down; finally an open world game, and you can't explore it with the boys. I hope it makes up for that in other ways if that's the case.

Feel the same way, it seems like a more streamlined, main stream, classic open world game, but inspired from Team Niinja's style of game with the souls-like combat. I am not into souls like, they are too brutal. Still I might be into this game, because it is more forgiving and not as brutal as a traditional souls like. Game looks good to me.

I back off 'Nioh' 'Nioh 2' cuz on boss gameplay clip, all hardcore Nio people say, 'If you no play Nioh, it look like button mashing/spam attack combat.' I don't know, I'm not really expecting this game to be any easier than Nioh 1/2. If anything, I think they're going to make a lot of the combat harder, for the exact reason that you'll be able to go off and do something else and level up if you can't handle a particular boss or situation. Another thing Nioh taught me is that a 20-story tall monster boss with tentacles holding a club the size of a city bus is not as scary as a 5-foot tall, gray-haired swordsman sitting alone in a field of white grass. The human bosses were the absolute worst, and I'm guessing pretty much all the bosses in Rise of the Ronin will be human.

The stance system in this game should be like Ghost of tsushima where you have enemies that can only be killed with a certain stance but if they leave it to where you can kill any enemy with any dtance then people wont use other stances, im so excited for this game and hope its as good as ghost of tsushima, this was the only game in my entire life that i Platinumed.

I didnt like Nioh1 and never tried Nioh 2 because the 1st one wasn't fun. Nor do i like souls like games besides star war falling order an survivor. Rise of the Ronin look a little crappie Ghost of Tsushima was great an if it doesn't rival that they can keep it. But im willing to get it if something intriguing about it.

Yes, we love Ghost of Tsushima DC gameplay and animations, moves as real martial artists and excellent tai sabaki realistic evading animations, we can't stand souls animations and environment interaction animations it is as from more than 10 years ago. Honestly I think it’s a disservice to Team Ninja games to call them “Souls Like”. The combat in Team Ninja games is better hands down, Nioh 2 was phenomenal once you fully understood how to use all the tools at your disposal.
