Black is certainly not what I would favor for a wedding dress for myself, but it looks exactly how it was designed to look, and totally suits the Bride's style and makes her happy, so it's a win!

Agree - that black overlay dress is STUNNING (and Her in it), but I think that a white or ivory veil - maybe edged with black, or with a light black lace overlay, would have looked more bridal. Still, if SHE was happy... (And, she would have a ready-funeral veil as well!)

Sorry, the black veil spoils the image. Perhaps a white one trimmed with black lace would have been a better choice.

I don't understand how women with huge dark tattoos on their arms think it looks attractive, especially when they are heavy. And it looks really ludicrous in a soft, pretty formal gown.

So sorry you were unable to follow your own taste. Luckily 50+ years ago when I married my mum encouraged me to follow my instinct and I wore a long pencil red velvet skirt with cream blouse and flowers. Must admit over the following months people kept asking if I was pregnant 😂. P s. Married the most wonderful man in the world who didn't care what I wore as long as I said "yes"
