I've grew up with their music all throughout sadly I have not given a chance to see them in live (hopefully by next year 😱) even once every time they come here in Philippines, been a fan of them since 2010 so I was in 2nd high school that time and the first song I heard from them was "I'd hate to be you when people find out what this song is about" which is my sister introduced me to and it also got me to listen more to them. So remembering those things was so sweet, I just can't believe its 9 years already 😊 SKL~

Fell in love within the first 10 seconds. Great great song. They always put out good music but this is just ❤️❤️❤️ I hope they add this to their set list, it would be devastating if this got added to the list of songs that never get played. Seeing this live would be everything.

Me too but the tune at minute 1:26 would be better in the second half of the song and that frustrates me that they decided to put it at the beginning and not at the end of the song :( it's what I wanted to do

*I posted this to my Facebook and Instagram the other day:* Listening to "Terrible Things" by Mayday Parade. This song will always have so much meaning to me. It's about a loved one getting sick and passing away. It will forever remind me of my mom. My favorite lyrics from that song read: "She said, "Boy, can I tell you a terrible thing? It seems that I'm sick and I've only got weeks. Please don't be sad now, I really believe You were the greatest thing that ever happened to me." She and my dad adopted me when I was 1-year-old and whenever I hear those lyrics, I like to imagine she's speaking them to me and saying that adopting me was the greatest thing that ever happened to her. It's also a fun coincidence that I randomly discovered this song 16 days after she passed away, which just so happened to be the 24th anniversary of my adoption. ❤

I was adopted as a baby myself, and my mother passed about a year and a half ago. I get the same vibe from Terrible Things these days. It used to make me think of Clannad, but now it has new meaning.

Mayday Parade for me is like a home friend. With all those new bands and artists emerging with new styles, my ears actually like the music and the sound of these songs. But nothing ever makes me feel the way Mayday Parade's music does. It kinda feels like home, or like a bestfriend who welcomes you with open arms when you run back to them cause nothing's going so right in your life. Yeah I discover and idolize new artists but Mayday Parade will always be the band that gives me this unique feeling of comfort in being sad.
