Hahaha that tiny ass corner stage was in Salt Lake City. When I got there that night, I remember thinking to myself "you are shitting me. They booked the small side of the venue..." I was just like man... Silverstein is huge now. They could've sold out the Great Salt Air, why come here? And at the time I didn't know the other bands in the lineup. But from the moment the openers took the stage, you had this feeling that this show was going to be something special. When Silverstein finally came on, nostalgia just totally swept over me. There was something about seeing all of them up there on that tiny ass stage, barely able to move and jamming my favorite album ever written that was so incredibly powerful. It took me clear back to the days that I started listening to Silverstein--when they were just rising up and would play shows at Kilby Court. That music got me through some hard times, and seeing them play that album in that grungy punk environment again was just surreal. Dave Grohl once said that he wouldn't be a musician if it weren't for the Beatles. I can honestly say the same about Silverstein. Their music has always resonated with me in a huge way. I don't think these guys will ever truly understand what this tour meant to the long-time fans. That was one of the best nights of my life.

I was at that show and I absolutely HATE In the Venue, it should've been at Saltair or at The Complex. But when Silverstein started playing, none of that mattered. It was amazing!

Silverstein was my first concert that I went to with friends (my parents took me to shows growing up) - 2005 or 2006, I cant remember- With Aiden and Scary Kids Scaring Kids. Such a good show, glad at least one band from that bill stuck around for this long

I first heard them while cleaning the house listening to music on FUSE TV and "Smashed into Pieces" came on. "Crap who is that?" I was hooked, this was about well over 10 yrs ago. After buying "When broken is easily fixed" I listened to them exclusively while working out. Later when DTW waterfront came out I was floored, the work outs slowed down a bit because began to really "listen" to their music & lyrics. Yes, it was THAT GOOD. lol. DTW is to me, their very best album. It was SO REFINED in comparison to their other album. Powerful and meaningful. I have to admit, I stopped buying their CD's in 2012 but I need to catch up! Need to jam to Silverstein when I hit the slopes this month! Keep up the great work guys. I'm still a fan for life!!!

Oh you're missing out man! Their 2013 album This Is How the Wind Shifts is their BEST! I mean that! They've been my favorite band since the DTW era and that was ALWAYS my favorite but that album actually blew me Away. Newest one is amazing too. They never let down, just keep refining their sound more and more and getting more creative.

Damn it guys, you've got me in tears. You guys have inspired me to make music and it's literally me and my best friend making noise in his basement. Fuck, it's so crazy that I get to see Silverstein at the end of this month. My role models, I get to meet them. Holy shit. Holy fucking shit.

You know, I understand that you guys "fired" Neil. I don't understand what happened really but, I understand that it had to happen. What really, really confuses me though is why Neil isn't mentioned at all in this video. He deserves his credit for helping write the album and make it as good as it is.

they had a really bad falling out apparently. when writing short songs he really didn't contribute much musically. he also got into a couple fights with Paul ( the drummer)

I get that. But, they made it seem like Paul (guitarist) had something to do with writing that album. To my knowledge, he isn't. Neil wrote the majority of that album.

Because he was fired under bad Terms and they aren't friends anymore nor is he a part of this band at all.

And nooo ^ Neil wrote a little bit of the album and Paul did write a little but it was actually mostly Shane, like most of their albums. There might be like 1 song on the album that was all Neil and then a chunk that was Neil and Shane but overall it was Shane like My Heroine, Your Sword, Call it Karma, those were 100% Shane

Enjoyed the shit out of that. Love everything they've done and I've been a fan since 2004, Silverstein and Underoath influenced me on so many levels and I'm glad to say they've attributed to who I've become today and are a big part of why I've been pursuing music as a career.Keep doing what you're doing my friends! I'll see you for the 6th time soon enough :)

How could you even think that? A&D was a let down IMO but Shipwreck was amazing, Rescue was pretty good, then This Is How The a Wind Shifts was their best EVER, and their newest one is amazing too. Idk they're my favorite band of 9 years tho so that's just my opinion

Wait. Fake Orange cabs? really?? 18:21 WHY???
@Smashquez
@Smashquez 8 жыл бұрын
Most bands use fake cabs for props on stage, usually the signal is coming from an isolated cab off stage, or they're going directly into front of house, it makes it easier for the engineer to not have any interference on the mic
@PipeD0d
@PipeD0d 8 жыл бұрын
+Kevin Marquez I know man, but i prefer when bands play with just one amp per instrument or simply with everything plugged to the axe fx, than a load of fake cabs just to look "big" on stage
