I saw Jonny Craig last night in Palmdale, Ca. My son, Christopher Matthew Morse loved him! We bought tickets to his show about 7 weeks ago. My son died 10/23/23 I went to the concert baby, representing you! They dedicated this song to you, said your name and Jonny and strangers hugged me. I love you so much and I can’t stand the emptiness I feel without you. All I want to do is hold you, protect you and love you!

"TAILORED SHEETS!!!" The intro to this song is so iconic. It randomly pops into my head every now and then. Jonny's vocals really shine on this track. The guy has so much natural talent. I hope he gets the help he needs and is in a good place. So glad I was in the music scene during this era. I was friends with he drummer of Slaves and got to hang with Jonny and a lot of other bands of the time. Such fun memories.

Too bad years of heroin abuse and being a scummy person in general took a toll on his credibility. Three bands kicked him out for the same damn thing (one of them having kicked him out twice). How many times does a band have to kick you out for drug abuse before the message sinks in?

@@rminter44 I don't disagree with what you said, but Jonny's been in and out of rehab *multiple* times. He surely knows the difference between being detoxed and healthy vs what crippling dependence to an opioid feels like. He has *repeatedly* exhibited this pattern of relapse with *multiple* people who were *completely* unaffiliated with one another. I can sympathise with Jonny in that heroin is truly nightmarish to get clean from and many often die trying to get clean in the first place due to how deep their physiological dependence goes. However, my sympathies don't go any further than that. Sully Erna is another musician who's intimately familiar with opioid withdrawal, and yet he's been with Godsmack from the very beginning! It's almost like... wait a minute: acknowledging your fuckups as a human being, earnestly making progress on your faults, and trying your damndest to keep your nose clean is all it takes to *not* be a complete and total pariah! Tl;dr version - Drug addicts have my sympathy, but the ones like Jonny sure as hell don't help the cause.

Tailored sheets to fix this dirty bed for once this dirt won’t come all off. It can’t be pushed aside. The wind is blowing through closed doors with shadows dancing in the hall. Now hit the floor, crawl to the side. We’ve all made better moves despite the slowing of our feet. For once lets leave the dreaming to someone else. Our time has slipped away. We're sinking faster, faster. No more play. Get ready for the catch I’m at the next step waiting for a year. All at once it leaves you breathless with next to nothing but open hands. Reach out hold on tight. I know it hurts but keep trying. And with your luck this won’t be over quick. Out of the blue it strikes you. What’s left to catch but the fear of letting go? (the fear of letting go) I'm biting down. The stress gets harder now. The mood is let down. Let it play for the last time. Take this last second to know who's walking out... For once don’t be so weak. Back up the feelings that you claim now. Fall deeper into a world That you can’t explain. For once don’t be so weak. I see the mistake and it’s you. Don’t try another line. I know the truth. And let it save you when nothing else will. I will let it save you when nothing else will. (Let It Save You.) The mood is let down, Let it play for the last time, take this last second to know We know who does it best, Wind is blowing through closed doors With shadows dancing in the hall. Now hit the floor, crawl to the side, We've all made better moves despite the slowing of our feet. Let hate save you when nothing else will. I know the truth, it won’t save you.
