I remeber watching them live at warped tour feeling so alive, I bought their cd and played this album until I graduated- got on drugs and lost a lot of time in my life, I sobered up recently and touched back into my roots. I met him at warped tour in Scranton like 10 years ago and here's the story.... I was at their merch tent looking at shirts (or the merch tent next to theirs, I think?) and my now wife taps me on the shoulder and points... and standing in front of the next tent over is this mountain of a guy covered in tattoos. I thought vincent would be this dude that hated when fans came up to him, but my wife told me to go ask if he'd sign something so I did. I go say whats up to him and ask him if he'd sign my shirt, he looks at me and says "hey man, not right now, I need to help this girl to the medical tent. But come back to the meet and greet in a bit and I got you" or something along those lines. I looked and the girl did not look like she was in good shape so 🤷🏻‍♂️ Anyway, we were second in line at the meet and greet like two hours later and I get up to him and not only does he recognize me but he apologizes for not signing my shirt before lol idk why but I thought that was awesome that he was helping people like that. 10/10 cool dude

Benett's vocals just turns the heavy to lvl 100 in every song. He doesn't fuck around and then on top of that the guitar riffs in every song including this just fucking heavy. The acacia strain is a band that seems to stay true to itself and never dies out.

I'm actually liking those "boring" breakdowns. TAS seems to be going for the downtune sound, and I think they do it quite well. Every "hxc" band out there does traditional breakdowns (as did TAS in their first few records) so I think they're consciously moving away from that to do something different. These new breakdowns are slow, sludgy, and punishing. \m/
