@ “Hunting ground” would have been more accurate if being literal really aggravates your OCD. However, “hunting season” still hits just fine. You are not the proper messenger to be criticizing grammar. You write this using text message lingo, and practically zero punctuation.

You know what bothers me, a lot of people don’t mention these young girls parents. Yes Kelly is a demon and absolutely scum yet we seem to forget how these predators get access to these girls out of nowhere. How does a pre teen just end up in certain spaces with a HUGE celebrity such as R Kelly? The damn parents. Some may be ignorant or super naive and clueless but some of them definitely sold off their children. I cannot believe that R. Kelly avoided accountability like that. I’m 35. So I was a very small child when he married Aaliyah. I can’t believe he legally married her, the ultimate proof, and he suffered zero consequences. I’m glad he was eventually held accountable for that! Insanity! I don’t like her family’s lack of assistance in helping convict him. I think they feel some blame. Her uncle was basically pimping her out and trying to blame her mom. The girls in the “Surviving R. Kelly” Documentary said he would use Aaliyah as leverage to get what he wanted out of Kelly.

Families of victims, often but not always, contribute to the person being a victim in the first place. A predator knows the kinds of children s/he can prey upon, as they usually don't have appropriate supervision or their parents are outright neglectful. Look at the alleged victims of Epstein, Jared, Michael Jackson, P Diddy.

Because of her age, a parent had to sign giving their approval to the marriage. In 1990, I had a high school friend who was being married off to a 23 year old man, mind you we were just in the 9th grade. The more our friend group probed with sadness & confusion, she explained that this was organized by the pastor at her church and her parents were signing off on the Alabama papers approving of the marriage. 😢
@LeonaHeart25 күн бұрын
@@ThesePPLRWeird They falsified documents lying about Aaliyah’s age, making her 18 and eligible to get married without a parent’s permission. That’s what he was charged with, falsifying the documents to get the marriage license to marry her. The man that helped him do it spoke in the documentary, and probably testified against him to avoid prosecution or get lesser charges. Kelly couldn’t read well, so people had to help him do all this stuff. That’s why it qualified for RICO charges as an organized crime operation.

R Kelly's example is not an example of "cancel culture". People probably don't wanna buy music from a pdf file. This is just the market. There is no need for people to demand he lose his job because people have the power themselves to support or not. Cancel culture wants to exert its power outside of the natural forces of the free market. Cancel culture shows itself when people demand some random middle management guy gets fired because he wrote an edgy joke online at 16. Or when an unfunny woman makes a joke about AIDS and Africa on Twitter. Cancel culture demands these people lose their right to provide for themselves for an offense they committed.

No, because that would be a more serious crime to admit too! Lol! Especially if people get the idea that he was being a corrupt prison guard in prison. Lol… he alluded to what you are saying but people aren’t smart enough to guess it. He said “ we do jobs, but not for the obvious reasons.” Like he needed to get on the inside, or learn how the inside works. He said in another interview something like that. But it can be a worse crime if you are a correctional officer doing stuff or using inside information.
@eddiejohnson4434Ай бұрын
@@LeonaHeart "learn how the inside works" isn't a serious crime. Plus he could say anything he wants in an interview, he can even lie. No prosecutor has all the time in the world to bring charges for words a rapper said during an interview without evidence. He could even say "as a correctional officer I murdered 100 people and sold drugs" and have no charges brought on him. This isn't TV. Without any evidence he could tell anyone "I was lying in the interview to boost my gangsta image".

He’s the King of R&B who was an incredible singer, songwriter, producer who changed the sound of R&B 4ever & his music gave me confidence in my abilities to sing and also to learn how to be talking to girls. And just seeing a man who u idolized and have this positive impact on u for nearly 2 decades of ur life turn out to be like this it was tough. I didn’t want to believe and I had to watch his whole case play out cuz I needed to close that chapter in my life and move on. I am grateful to Kellz for the positive impact he had on me and I will never deny how his talent changed music but in the end he had to reap what he sow. I wish he had help I didn’t want it to end this way but eventually the truth comes out.

If you watch the documentary about him, you can hear many of his collaborators stating they were witnessing everything (his tour team having witnessed his intercourse with underaged Aaliyah in the bus, others wintnessing underaged girls in the bed he put in the middle of his recording studio...). I assume these people are not accountable for this non assistance anymore. The only respectful person in that story is Sparkle, who recognized her own niece in the video tape and testified against Robert, sacrifying her career. Before the documentary, I had always wondered what had happened to her, as her debut album was really good.
