Law is intersection between time and place. Therefore when you read the old law (arthshastraa) we have to keep in mind the context of the scenarios and events happening there at that time. When we do so, we are able to adapt it to the current situation in more relevant manner.

Why Kautilya has different names , like Vishnu gupt , chanakya and Kautilya ? One of them is Sanskrit scholar who wrote Arthasastra . Now my question to you if this man was scholar of Sanskrit then Lingua Franca only able to understand Pali and prakrit languages . In prakart language you cannot write Arth + shastra as prakart language does not have letter for ri (ऋ) or half letter which we use in hindi and sanskrit . Another thing why asok didn't mention any thing or word related with Sanskrit . Was sanskrit there in the mauryan period so how can it possible that their court has scholar of a language but they mentioned parakart, Greek ,Pali language but not mentioned a single word of Sanskrit. Now Mudrarakshas a sanskrit play of vishakha dutt who is anonymous with name . Shakespeare's plays Julius Caesar and in mediaeval period Padmavat they all are not history because author mentioned them in their novel and artistic work to make their stories more relevant . I want you to share those sources , I really want to know about this fictitious character .

Thanks for starting Arthashastra from Kautilya. My only request will be that before we start anything from Kautilya, it is very important that we do the history of Kautilya. Why and how this came into existent. Chanakya has become more of a corporate buzz word vs. the work he has done and especially "why". I also am aware that the sources of Kautilya are limited and not clear. But the one which is mostly accepted should be communicated. Just a thought. awaiting your response.

Latest king from bharat who was educated in all this academical granths may be king shivaji, and king sambhaji, because there come reference where jijabai mother of King shivaji took interest that shivaji and sambhaji should have proper knowledge, wisdom, to rule the swarajya, King sambhaji himself has written 8 Granths.
