Hi, my name is Ravi Rao and I’m a stand up comedian from Bangalore.
In this video, I talk about how Indians take pride in other Indians’ achievements abroad and how I experienced this growing up in Chennai, through 2 key figures - Rishi Sunak and Sundar Pichai respectively.

All the comics from North will invariably have girl/sex/slangs/fuck/......scattered over their jokes at different degrees...As movies, comics ll also mature. And this guy is actually ahead of his time in India. Wish him luck 🤞

A common case of xenophobia where "this guy" makes you puffed up with pride! Just like Sunak or Pichai!! It is so common across India. And it exists at various levels. Geography (state, city, locality), language, cast, religion .. you name it. While my time in the south, met many nice blokes who deeply believed that 1. Southerners are superior in India 2. Tamils are superior in South 3. Brahmins are superior among Tamils Hope to meet someone who believes in finer granularity e.g. Mylapore Tam Brahms are suprior to their Triplicane counterparts. And such sentiments are equally common in all other regions.The amazing thing is people join hands when sitution demands inspite of holding such beliefs!

@@justineray9001 may be the message was misread. I m from North India. And I don't give a shit to Sunak Or Pichai. They did something in their culture /country.Its the success of their ecosystem. And it has nothing to do with superiority of race. The comment was just not about race/which side is better..It was just about talent of this guy and few more I have watched.A spade remains a spade. Jokes on Maths ll always have lesser audience even in South India. However at least there is space... Evolution is not upgrade it's just a process. No one ll watch South Indian movies where bullet split in 3 , but 'super deluxe' ll get traction. So is comic... Comic from North have this tendency to rely on things mentioned. And they have audience and they ll always have. What next though?.What makes anyone laugh ll today ll not in few years time. That's where Ravi is ahead of time...Anyway, I didn't intend to have North/South/Race debate.. Ravi has an audience and I m part of it. Hope it grows.. I just doubt that he audience who laugh at sex jokes ll take years to switch to him..

@@mompyish Very impressed that you're actually from North! One thing I would like to say is that "sex" is not that easy to sell. Rangeela was hit but Daud bombed in box office. Because Rangeela had a great story to support. Manish Tyagi, Amit Tandon, Anshu More, Vipul Goyal, Gaurav Gupta, Ankita, Sindhu V are some of my favorite stand-up comedians.
