I’m glad Nick Cross is playing well. I really liked that draft pick. He plays well in the box. But also him and our LBs leading the league in tackles is because they can’t get off the field and our offense’s time of possession sucks.

As an Indianapolis resident and season-ticket holding Colts fan, it should be mentioned that Nick Cross got a lot of hate at training camp and preseason. He was considered "not good enough" and got tons of hate when he tackled Jonathan Taylor in practice. Look at Nick now. Congratulations to him.

@@fittywrap588 I mean you can make excuses all day long. But if you get the opposing offense off the field more often, your offense gets more opportunities. There have been games where the D did get them off the field and the O simply went 3 and out over and over. But the majority of the time its the opposing offense running up and down the field while our players make tackles past the first down marker. It's so consistent that Shane chose to go for 2 last week rather than lose the game in the final seconds to an offense that we simply could not stop. Last year we were put into equally garbage situations and the defense was MUCH MUCH more capable than this year, with much of the same personnel. Not only was the TOP lopsided in a lot of games last year, we were CONSTANTLY giving short fields to the other team. Still, our Defense was middle of the pack in most areas last season, or at least ranked significantly higher than this year's defense.
