Just another day at Stal H where we are seeing the herd receive the most top notch husbandry care I’d expect nothing less from Yvonne one of the best eques guardians in the world. I know, once I was sedated at the dentist he pulled wisdom teeth and did a bunch of other work as well, he kept asking me if I needed a break and I was like I’m fine I’m fine 😂 that was one of the most relaxing times ever at a dentist 😂

Veterinarians can choose from all sorts of specialties, just the same as human doctors can. There are general practitioners, surgeons, Criticalists, internists, radiologists, anesthesiologists...etc. 🧡🧡

My cousin’s daughter is a horse dentist in North Carolina, USA. She was a vet for years, then started her own business doing this. I also wonder why she chose this but I’m glad the horses are sedated because I also don’t like the dentist with the noise and all!!!

It is totally normal.. as normal as a farrier. A vet speciality although many vets do it as well as wider practice. Equine vets are a thing. Horses need regular tooth care through their lives

Our Prince was showing how to act like royalty. It helps that he was sedated. lol so proud of him. Hope he gets a visit from the tooth fairy. Saly was a trooper. She is so sweet and gentle. I don't like when Corella is mean to her. Saly doesn't deserve it.

@@Alex-ft1df 🥹no I haven’t seen that but I have learned/ seen some pretty awful things done to both 🐎 and donkeys it’s diabolical. I have a friend who saved 4 horses and a donkey from an auction after they were tossed aside to an uncertain future 2of them were just 4 & 6 months old when they were picked up without their moms. Now thankfully all 4 sweet kids are safe and getting the absolute best possible life thanks to Kelly.🤗🌈☀️🩶🌻🫏

Upon reflection, I think the combination of assuring she's boss and making sure her foal has plenty to thrive has caused Coralle to become so mean to Saly. Hopefully, she'll calm down soon and not teach Belle bad habits. Sweet Saly and Sweet Risey. They did well with their dentist appointment! When I saw the tall cargo going by, I immediately thought of Reintje. She's a real "watchdog" when it comes to things moving within eyeshot of her. Sweet lady.

Czech. Belle se učí od Coralle, dobré i špatné věci, tak jako děti napodobují své rodiče. Ale myslím, že to časem bude vpořádku. Coralle a Saly už spolu bojovaly minulý rok. Snad se to usadí ❤. Och Risey, vedl sis u zubaře moc dobře, všechno špatné muselo pryč. Yvonne pečuje o své koně úžasně, nic nezanedbá. Plující monstra na lodi, tak to jsem ještě neviděla, úžasný zážitek 😮. Was this Risey's FIRST Dental appointment? I don't remember seeing him with the Dentist before now. Is the first Dental visit usually scheduled after a horse's third birthday? I think that Risey did well. Goedzo! Braf!, Risey!!! I could see from Yvonne's face that she was really worried about his ability to stand under sedation. I'm glad that everything went so well, and that she was worrying about nothing. 😉

@@arribaficationwineho32 Since horses teeth keep growing all their lives the teeth can get sharp spots that rub on the jaw or tongue and cause discomfort. Uneven molars can prevent a horse getting good use of its food. Regular dentistry is important...

I'm curious as to when the young horses first receive Dental care. 🤔 From the things I've learned from Yvonne on this Channel, I've gotten the impression (whether right or wrong) that other than putting on halters, grooming them, tying them up, chipping them, de-worming them, and other stuff like that, young horses are pretty much left alone until they are three years old. I've imagined that after their third birthday the horses see the Farrier, Dentist, and Vet to start their regular healthcare for wellness. If that's wrong, I'd like to know. I've watched every video on this Channel, but that's over the course of the last three years. I can't say that I remember every one in detail. Help from Horse People who know would be very much appreciated. I enjoy learning these things. Please. Anybody weigh in. Help your girl learn some stuff.

@@ren-uz2mz I know. I'm just wondering at what age a horse sees the dentist for the FIRST time. Do you know? And, . . . After that first visit, how often does the Dentist come? Is it bi-annually? Annually?

The visits at the dentist are horrendous for me So I was very proud of magnificient Saly and our Prince Risey who did great with Yvonne's help With the warm weather, the pasture will be drying and the horses will be able to have a great time I am always in awe of little Fairy Yfke who is interested by our Prince Risey and Blomke so beautiful, funny and gentle just love those Fillies But I do not like when Coralle and Belle are mean with our Queen Saly and Blomke I know it is a normal behaviour in the Herd but Saly and Blomke do not deserve that It is great that Yvonne look at that carefully
