You can get way more damage from a crush counter CA combo by just doing cr.hp, st.hp xx medium scythe xx CA. If you want to be completely optimal you can even do st.hp, micro step forward, st.hp xx Scythe xx CA. I believe this gets you close to or over 500 damage, while the fancy Moonsault/target combo one only does around 460.

This is correct. You can even get more damage by just doing CC st HP xx MK scythe xx CA. This is helpful against Cammy whose DP leaves her too far for a cr. HP link.

That's really good info. Sometimes I'm lax about checking the non CC punishes. It is worth noting that the crush counter also builds you half a v-bar though, which can be pretty valuable for Nash.

If you're gonna cancel st. hp with a special it's better to use m. tragedy assault than sonic scythe. It does slightly more damage and you even get more meter from it.

Difficulty: 2/5 finally someone doesn't think this character requires a fucking college degree in mathematics to play, jesus christ. Bafael is the one true leader

Of course Nash is easy mode. If he was hard to play, you'd never see so many online.

this is very true. never even thought about it that way, i just know he's easy in general. CA confirm off a lp target combo, gimme a break capcom

I'm not really sure who in SF5 requires more than a 3/5 lol, I'm probably gonna give Karin a 4/5 I guess but no one is really a 5. I already switched from a #/10 to #/5 cuz this game is so quick and simple to learn compared to old SF
@TreasureTrain8 жыл бұрын
at high level play i'd say maybe karin and fang are a 4/5. everyone else falls below

Thank you again for another great video. For someone like me who sometimes takes long breaks from playing, these videos can be very useful to help me remember the basics for each character. Would you happen to have any advice on how to use both the regular and EX Moonsault Slashes? I use the regular one sometimes to guess and punish fireballs, but I'm not sure how else to incorporate them into my play.

knee bazooka combos from counter hit cr.HP iirc, sweep is probably safer off of that meaty, but the fact that you cant really do anything else and the surprise value might make it worth it.
@SimonM_18 жыл бұрын
also it might actually hit deeper in its active frames in that scenario making it not -1 on hit, but i havent tested that.

3:21 is the flashing from ex supposed to last that long?

Any idea how much of this video applies to S2.5 Nash? His dashes were shortened in distance, V-Trigger was nerfed greatly and pushback on some of his moves was decreased (most notable mk.Sonic Scythe). I think you can also link Tragedy Assault (lp/mp) in a combo that ends with st.mp, and his fireball was buffed as well iirc.
@ShoryukenTube7 жыл бұрын
The only significant thing that changed about 2.5 Nash from a combo perspective is that you can now do EX moonsault, cr. MP, st. MP xx LP tragedy assault (b+MK doesn't reach in this context). LP tragedy assault is an alternate ender for all his HK sonic scythe combos but it's not super significant. He did get cr. MK xx v-trigger, b+MK xx HK SS as a combo, which is a stronger low option than before. It's mostly his movement that changed, not his strategy or combo routes.

3:20 after ex moon does he still flash for a bit?
@Bafael8 жыл бұрын
Yeah, long story about that. Some of this footage was recorded using the leaked beta (everything that doesn't have "sloth" in the top left) using the PC hack to make training mode playable outside beta window. Since Nash EX boom was like a 2 hit EX, there was a glitch that made him flash forever, until you did another EX move. The footage is still game accurate so I still have it in there. Good eye.
