The overnight strikes in Iran will have done little to calm the tinderbox conditions throughout the Middle East.
Attacks along Israel's border with Lebanon between Israeli forces and Hezbollah have increased in recent days.
Tensions have soared and tens of thousands of people have been displaced from their homes, fearing for their safety.
