flash drives have faster r/w speed than HDD so, rather than storing data on hdd (when ram is not enough)we can use flash drives as a virtual memory.

Logically you could be right regarding the speed bottle neck, but usb drives are not used as ram proper.. They are rather used as page files.. So it wont affect or slow down the system, you might not get a drastic improvement in performance anyway..

Use Ready boost. Steps: 1. Insert any pendrive, SD card drive, hard drive, etc. 2. Right Click on the USB you inserted in your computer. 3. A drop down list will appear, select format. Be sure to backup your important data in the USB to another storage device in case needed. 4. After formatting, click on properties again, this time select ready boost. 5. Select, use this Device for ready boost. Now you're good and ready to go. Rock!

RAM is lot more expensive than Pen Drive (more than 10x expensive). Don't listen to this guy. DISLIKED this video. Pen Drives have excellent resilience. They don't get hurt by small reads and writes much. If you have a hard disk and have low RAM, you must use ReadyBoost for better performance. I have an Acer Desktop from 2009 and without ReadyBoost it is not usable.
