Risk of Rain 2 (1.0) Speedrun - Any% (

the artifacts i use are glass, command, sacrifice, kin, swarms, dissonance, soul, death, and frailty. glass and command are self-explanatory, sacrifice is so i can get items (i need at least 10 razorwire for phase 2 of the boss), kin and swarms make the teleporter bosses free with tincture+razorwire as well as giving me more items, dissonance is so i don't get hermit crabs on stage 4 which spawn outside of my razorwire aoe, and soul is fine because the wisps are harmless and shoot me which procs razorwire, as well as giving me more brooch. death and frailty don't do anything.

Obliteration technically kills you so while that was the target since that was all we had in early access the game now has an actual ending for any% purposes. unfortunately these first amazing runs are essentially invalid because Hopoo decided to make the boss have an invulnerability state before the last phase so this strat is no longer possible. It is still possible to get a better time but it would require way more rng.

I think it's mostly used to cut time on the end of the TP as opposed to DPS. It cuts the money > XP time out completely which saves a few seconds.

when you fall off the map the game tries to put you back in a logical spot. if you punch all the way out there the game will think you fell from the initlal platform somehow and put you back there. i still have to explore to see how early i can fall for it to warp me to the beginning though

I often cheese the way to mithrix by dropping down from the main bridge onto the small crevice, walk up as much as I can and then fall to spawn on the final platform before boss. I do that when i want to avoid the creeps on the bridge or when I run immobile survivors

monsoon speedruns are actually the exact same except for the first stage, where you can't get hit as much or you die. you 1shot everything because of the artifact of glass, not because it's on drizzle instead of monsoon

Cuz it seems like it wouldnt be possible to do it nearly as fast on monsoon now just cuz of how much health the boss has and how it takes your items (but ofc ill take your word for it if its still just as easy, as im just a pleb) Thats the real thing I look forward to in future runs.. people dealing with mithrix without being able to cheese him.

you could make this slightly faster by selecting a goat's hoof and a boss rounds on stage 5, you'd get more sprinting move speed from 1 energy and 1 hoof and the boss rounds would shave off 3 or 4 seconds on the 2nd phase of mithrix
