May I ask, what amperage that fuze is? I have a similar situation, my screen backlight doesn't work, but when I project some light on the screen, I'm seeing the menus. LE: Just saw the fuze properties in the captions.

Just one more question: what kind of glue did you use to put back the rubbery parts?

nice job. why do you think the fuse blew?

Thanks for watching! Honestly, no idea. Hopefully something to do with moisture or similar and not component/chip issues.

@@riskifixes Any chance it was those 2 pins you had to re-solder?

My screen came originally with shadows all over the scene I want to shoot, NIKON made me all sorts of resets, to tell me they need to get the camera to fix it at a cost of $350 plus $35 shipping, I bought the camera during the pandemic and never used it as each time I tried, I get the shadows, however once a picture is taken the photo is fine once it is on my computer, which leaves me with a bad LCD. It was a bad decision to buy this camera. I will try to install a new screen, but I hate the camera already.

Sorry to hear that. It does sound like a faulty LCD, hopefully you get it sorted out!
