Bathing newborns too soon can potentially cause them to be cold and develop hypothermia or hypoglycemia, and in some newborns, bathing too soon causes minor stress. Definitely for the baby's health better to just wipe them down the first few days to help them regulate their body temperature. For sure to each his own, but just FYI, why they suggest not bathing the first few days - Love your family. Stay amazing ❤

Also as a nurse and learning from my last delivery, they allow the baby’s body temp to regulate for 24 hours and allow more skin to skin before doing the first bath 💙
