Who do you believe was behind his lyrics? He had the voice, they controlled the words. As a child, he could have been molded better; but the power manipulators saw the money. Why do you think his life ended this way? He was used and thrown away. He knew this.
@playdough106 ай бұрын
I think the lyrics were his and like many kids seeking approval and validation I think Risto Benji chose to magnify a life that wasn’t good. I don’t think he would have appealed to hardcore dancehall fans if he was clean cut in his lyrics. We wasn’t going to be a Junior Tucker.

I know Risto Benjie from a little boy,he could be my son according to his age. I went to lived in Waterhouse since 1968 and I, useto lived near King 👑 Tubbys.Long before Jammys have no sound or studio 🎙️,I useto Risto Benjie as a little boy. I never knew that Risto Benjie was murdered in St, Catherine,by a lone guy man. I was listening to the same story,by another You Tuber how Risto Benjie got killed.He was the little boy DJ during his time,I useto go by Jammys studio 🎙️ and seeing him there.Some people is saying that how violent Waterhouse is, and it is ghetto but. Yet for all, nobody hurt Risto Benjie there and they killed. Him in the country as how we called it in Jamaica, according to what I understand his death. That seems like someone set it up,it is really, really sad. The way he was killed, for a very popular young man.

Good day his lyrics were terrible for a child so young, you have to look at the parent's. This is Jamaican bad behaviour letting him sell his soul, that's probably why he met his demise. Adult's are to to take some blame, but you say he was a rude boy. Still very sad to that is he met his end, by a bullet sad nevertheless. Enjoying your platform very much, keep up the good work 🇬🇧🇯🇲😉

🇯🇲🇯🇲 Risto Benji was obviously talented but equally obvious was total lack of discipline and guidance. I personally knew ( lived in adjoining neighborhood) when Bernie Man use to walk in Risto Benji shadow as both were from the same neighborhood friendship circle and “ child stars” promotions. Benji lived a reckless and combative a life as his lyrics. As they grew older Beenie Man overtook Risto Benji as the child star which made him became very jealous and often physically confront Beenie. Long before his end he was known to have gotten in various physical armed confrontations with his neighbors despite or because of his psychotic episodes. When I heard of Benji’s demise, I was not surprise because his father had suffer the same fatal ending as a “ghetto cowboy” with the difference being his dad was killed by law-enforcement.
