To my knowledge they started in late 2005 and i remember last hearing about one in 2008 (may have been some since though). There havn't been too many of them and the ones i've heard of lately are very sporadic ones on one ride only or house and garden tours. Try emailing Alton Towers as they may be able to provide more info for you : )

This is amazing, when do they do these tours? I worked at camelot theme park for a season doing rides op, and as good of a job as it was, we didn't get taught anything about how the rides work, only how to operate them. All the rides there too, are simple push the button to start and let the ride do its own thing, where as it is interesting to see how these big attractions are operated by computers and so many sensors.

Yeah, apologies for that. There was a problem uploading this particular one back in the day and although the original video quality is not up to todays standards anyway this one didn't upload properly so it's a bit crapper than the other ones I have from the same period. I should probably try uploading it again one day in better quality if I get some spare time.

Not by a long shot. Rita's a lot better than Stealth. Stealth loses it after the launch. Rita has much more of a kick to it, more sustained speed and more airtime. Stealth is good but overrated.
