the instrumental really did you dirty. It's like the producer didn't even put an effort to understand how the original felt or sound. the chord progressions of the original were completely disregarded. I'm sorry to be the one to say this but your vocals could have been waaaaaay better on an instrumental that actually took effort. You followed the original melodies really well but the chords in the melodic parts just end up making you sound out of tune/scale.
