Hi Beaver Rudy, usually in Thailand, the trainers don't speak tons of English, but they definitely speak enough to teach. In our experience, even the ones who hardly speak a word of English are still able to be very good teachers. They often use gestures or grunts to let you know if you're doing things right or wrong. Muaythai somehow transcends languages. Incidentally, 50s is young. We have friends in their 60s who train ferociously (and are better than many people in their 30s, we kid you not) and there are Thai trainers in their 70s who can still kick our asses. Please never stop training, if you love it! 🥰
