Some information is outdated. Now third-year boys also have 2 persons per room. Also, the nearest airport is Jharsuguda which has direct connectivity to all major metropolitan areas like Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, etc. The auditorium of our college is converted to movie theatre every weekend where you have to pay Rs. 70 for latest Hindi and Telugu movies. Btw your research is quite commendable.

One of the premier technical institutes in India. They should have upgraded this institute to IIT and built a new NIT in Bhubaneshwar. Very old college with top class faculty and a great campus in a historically Industrial city. No branch is good or bad. It is all about demand and supply. There is a lot of demand for "good" civil engineers now and many are paid from Rs 25 lacs/annum to Rs 1 crore per annum. So it is all relative. Getting into IIT and NIT is the most difficult part.

@@Niraj_Kr29 NIT Rourkela is a top institution. You can always change Branches after first semester if you do very well and there are vacancies in others. Check with the admission counselor. Surathkal is also a good NIT.

Thankyou ❤️ , both are shandaar colleges , average package of mnit cse is apprx 14 lacs nd for nit rourkela its 15 lacs , both has same overall average package which is 9 lacs , Highest package of Nit rourkela - 39 lacs & for mnit its 30 lacs , So placements wise rourkela is lil bit better
