Rittz, I’m in recovery. I’ve been sober 35 days today. I went to rehab, and I had the whole rehab bumping this song every morning for group! It’s very inspiring to people who are trying to change our lives. This song kept me in the seat I was in, in rehab. I just wanted to thank you

consider checking out NA or AA if there is anything like that around. you got this man.
@NightRogue77
@NightRogue77 4 жыл бұрын
It’s not easy brother. NA can be a good resource, but quite frankly it is not for everyone, especially if you are not a religious or spiritual person. What good can come out of that regardless, however, is finding a lifeline you can depend on to pick up the phone. In the meantime, i’d be happy to help. I’ve got plenty of my own demons.
@sofkincool
@sofkincool 4 жыл бұрын
@@NightRogue77 you are 1000% correct. i am not spiritual at all, and i feel like you kinda have to be to buy into their whole program. there was always that weird disconnect between me and the other NA members because of that i felt. But even so, i honestly don't think i would have been clean if it wasnt for them. When you feel like you can't talk to anyone, a room full of strangers who have the same problem as you, is strangely comforting. they can have their god, or higher power, or whatever they want to call it. i just want a better way to live. and i found it there.
@NightRogue77
@NightRogue77 4 жыл бұрын
Juicer oh I totally get it man, believe me. I just prefer to cut out the middleman, which in this instance is the program itself. It’s the people that matter, and unless your personality type and/or the way you live your life would benefit greatly from the structure that the program provides, i’ve actually found it to be more of a hindrance than a help. That said, if you can withstand all the fluff (and I always can in the immediate aftermath of something bad happening), that same structure can help you regardless in the early days. Just knowing when and where people who can truly empathize will be from day today is of no insignificant import, and of course making connections with those same people can be the difference between success and failure in the first 30 to 90 days, in my experience. For me personally, those connections are all I need. The absolute key to all of this in my most humble opinion, is being able to talk with people who can truly empathize with everything you say and feel. All the friends and family members in the world, and all their love and support are all well and good, but that Support has a firm ceiling. You cannot truly empathize with another human being unless or until you understand their pain, or at the very least have an extremely strong frame of reference in order to conceive of it truly. And the greatest of intent aside, for the majority of people, when discussing sensitive emotional matters and life-level shit for the purposes of consolation and/or guidance, you are unable to buy In to most anything the other person is saying. How can you console me, and how can you guide me, if you have absolutely no frame of reference for My Pain? I don’t give a damn what anyone says, whether you’re talking to your mother, a preacher, or Jesus Christ himself, you simply cannot do so. There will always be a Hollow-ness to your words in the eyes of the one suffering. How can you help me stop an addiction when you can never understand why I do what I do, and why it’s so difficult to stop no matter how much I want to. Wow what the fuck LOL it’s like I just went into a trance. TL:DR if it works for you, then move heaven and earth to continue doing it. But if you find that it’s not working for you, it could just be your aversion to the system that’s closing you off. Instead of disappearing, find some contacts who understand that not every (and quite frankly more than a few) journey to sobriety goes through the program, and that there are plenty of intelligent people who want to make an honest and 100% effort down the path of sobriety, but just simply cannot do it through the program. Don’t give up.

This is beautiful. Letting go of the past is something that is key in recovery. Were too hard on ourselves. The hurt and pain that grew deep roots into your soul is haunting. But there is a light and healing that only Jesus can do. Its a painful and messy process but He woll see us through it.

I’m in active addiction and I pray every single day that I’ll be ready to go get clean and sober again. If it wasn’t for Rittz, I probably would have ended my life already. Him and his music keeps me going every single day. I just wish I could find the way out before it’s to late. Any positive feedback or anything from anyone would really help me out a lot. Could use some advice.

It took me 3 times going to rehab, kicked a pill/coke addiction. I decided to only use cannibis and have an occasional drink when i got out. The counselors told me it would never work and i would be back, but 7 years later ive left everything but cannibis alone. My point is, there are no right or wrong answers, but when you decide that whatever youre doing is no longer worth it, you will find a way. I am just starting being sober, but let me tell you this........ I've been booked into jails over 40 times my driver liscence has been suspended 32 times I've been married and divorced I have rebuilt my life from rock bottom more times than I can count. I have 2 good friends left everyone has died, and I still continued to use. And like you I was looking every where for the answers for help and it never came. Verse 1] I open my eyes up There's somebody sleepin' in the bed next to mine But I don't recognize them Couple nurses comin' in the room to check on me And maybe shed light Tell me where I am My legs are too long for this twin size bed She said I need rest Time to take my meds It's gonna be a long thirty days ahead I went for my phone But it's gone She said the staff searched everything I own They confiscate my razor My cologne They made me sign a waiver I can't call home So now I'm praying to the light on the fire alarm Thinkin' to myself "Look what I've become"? The tears on my face taste like alcohol I'm crawled up in a ball Fighting my withdrawals [Chorus] I was starin' in the mirror And the man I saw Was appalled at the wrong I've done And it's never been as clear as it is right now I was powerless all life long I'm ready for recovery Tryin' on to break these chains Ready for recovery Tryin' to escape Twin Lakes [Verse 2] It's Six AM And I don't got an appetite for breakfast I can't make friends Cuz I don't think that I know who I am yet I flick my cigarette ash I'm scared of talkin' group A girl across the room is sayin' how she got abused Younger kids are laughin' like it's funny I am not amused I need to mind my business That's the type of attitude i'm trying to lose Told my counselor I think that I fell out of love of livin' I drink Crown by the gallon jug Not an ounce of fuck is givin' Buzz without the fun Now I'm just a violent drunk And If I don't want to get sober Then it's all over I just hope my higher power shows forgiveness Victim of this drug abusive life I live Lose my mind And then another suicide attempt So I turn my willing life over to you to drive again I'm just hopin' I got time to undo the wrong I did [Chorus] I was starin' in the mirror And the man I saw Was appalled at the wrong I've done And it's never been as clear as it is right now I was powerless all life long I'm ready for recovery Tryin' on to break these chains Ready for recovery Tryin' to escape Twin Lakes It's never too late

Yall sound bitter. I mean I guess there could be some truth to that for SOME people. Like simple minded people who don't know how to form an opinion regardless, with anything. I don't think it's the reactors intent. Like "yes, I think I will control which artists simple minded people like". Like it's some conspiracy. Yall sound goofy af. The reactors aren't doing anything wrong. If you're the type of person who can't form your own opinion, that's on you. For the rest of us, we enjoy seeing other people share our excitement for a brand new fire ass song by one of our favorite artists. People also watch them for their personalities. I like Shaqs vibe and cracks me up sometimes, and I enjoy that I can watch someone else listen for and break down bars like I do...for example. Side note. Yall do realize that usually people watch reactors react to songs that they themselves have already heard and enjoy, right? Does it seem like easy money, I mean sure, possibly. Regardless, blame the market, not the seller. Can't sell something if there's no market for it. If anything about if bothers you, why don't yall find out how u can make a living just being you, doing something you enjoy. I'd be concerned on why it bothers yall more than the fact that it bothers yall....
