I'm very confused, I've gone to this beach many times without staying there and I've never had an issue parking in that ramp. The public spots have been marked for years.

No it's not. the beach access is privately owned and maintained the hotel also owned and maintained privately they can say who comes on the property and who can go on to their beach access because it's called a privilege not a right to go on private access how hard is it to explain to these progressive dumbasses who live in snowflake utopia.

Last time I went there two years ago they turned me down and said only for hotel guests and golfers. They are not welcome to anyone but guests paying 1K a night. You can’t even have dinner inside.

@@y.r.9401 actually I stayed in the hotel yesterday for my anniversary. It is the best I have stayed although it is expensive. The staffs are super friendly and they upgraded me the room with ocean costal view for free. Dinner is expensive but with super high quality. So I think it is worth the money to treat myself nice and luxurious once. 😆

To the people who are saying they never have trouble, a few points: - right next to the Ritz is a mobile home part, where a lot of poor folk live - directly across the street and down the road from Ocean Colony ( yhe gated community in front of the Ritz) is a healthy low income housing community. I work there a lot as a substitute. I’d guess that 99.999 % of the residents are Latino. And lots of kids. - these neighborhoods are so sharply divided that I was told by a fellow sub that he mentioned working in the housing development to some more affluent residents of HMB and they had no idea it existed. I live in a pretty diverse suburb of San Francisco, but it’s pretty well blended ethnicity-wise. Town like Half Moon Bay and Redwood City were a culture shock to me, because the neighborhoods were so divided. So forgive me for being cynical, but I do wonder if some people are left alone because they simply look more like people who could afford to stay at the Ritz. And my challenge to the Ritz is to brainstorm community events to be held at the Ritz that unite the two worlds of Half Moon Bay. Just a thought.

I don't agree that the hotel should provide parking spots for beach-goers. Parking should be provided by the city.

HAND BANANNA doubt you’re even local bro. Doubt you’ve ever gone to this beach to realize the hotel maintains the stairs that allow the public to access the beach down a 200ft. Cliff. Doubt you’ve run 5 miles to this beach every day for easy access and good views. Every beach in California is public or state owned. Private beaches are illegal here and considering there is no signage, gates, or fences preventing access to this one, I’m simply wondering what the actual problem is. There is a small public lot that is easy to use. Otherwise, it’s a private hotel and their parking garage is private. Not a hard concept. The public parking is limited but it exists, and frankly there are plenty of other beaches in town that are 100% safer and have way more parking.
@Sixrabbbit5 жыл бұрын
Seriously what the hell? You can park in the garage for free no problem. The guards will give you a ticket to put on your windshield. Maybe these people should stay in San Jose

I understand both sides I mean if I’m paying $1,000 a night? I’d prefer to have the beach to be more private, but if it’s a public area I’m not sure what they could do. Maybe purchase the land? Also, are they really taking that much space? The beach itself goes on for miles. I, myself have never been to a Ritz Carlton but I’m just saying it’s not a big deal for me if they want some privacy.
@CAsaidit5 жыл бұрын
The beach doesn’t belong to RC to begin with so they can’t keep it for themselves to offer private beaches to their guests. They have every right to profit from offering guests a nice hotel stay, but that doesn’t include a private beach.

How many right wingers tune into KPIX? San Francisco, and the bay area is liberal central. Legit, you think a KZbin comment section is the place to get political discourse, and in a liberal focused news media channel. Once upon a time I was on the left, then I ran into guys like you, and CNN, and Hillary, and realized you guys are the weak, the brainwashed, and the problem. You would hand over your llves, your riches, and your freedom to a bunch of democratic elite, who care nothing for you, only your vote. You and SPEAK UP(nice tits, brother) are delusional. The right, the left, and everyone in between on the political spectrum, care nothing about you. Quit siding in a 2 party system that exists to keep you powerless and under control.

Arrogancian Rich power trippers. The Ritz beach area contains Ancient Iron pillar structures topped by a thick foundation within the sandy Hillside. This reveals a hidden past that makes the Historical Narrative we've been brainwashed to believe regarding our country and continent very questionable.

Consider this. If you happen to be a patron of hotel, would it be reasonable that you have somewhere to park your car? If so, is it not reasonable that the hotel that you have paid for your stay limit parking to assure that it’s paying guests arE taken care of. If you disagree, consider that the incredible facility that you are driving to and enjoying is supported solely by paying guests. Otherwise any other stretch of California beach is still available to you John and Jane Q Public. (I do not work for this hotel nor have I ever stayed there. Its a matter of simple economics.)
