Today I'm baking the Ritz Carlton Lemon Pound Cake that I baked several weeks ago. It was an #EpicFail, so today I'm redeeming myself.🙂 Thank you to Ms. Jeanne and Chef Jeffery for all of your tips that helped me successfully bake this cake.

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS AND DETAILS PROVIDED IN THE VIDEO.

INGREDIENTS I USED:
Baked at 350 degrees for 1 hour 10 mins. (Time may vary depending on your cake pan and/or oven.)
3 Cups All Purpose Flour
3 Cups Sugar
5 Large Eggs (Room Temperature)
2 Sticks UNsalted Butter (Room Temperature)
1 C Milk (Room Temperature)
1/2 C Crisco Shortening
3/4 Tsp Salt
6Tblspn Lemon Juice
1Tblspn Baking Powder
1 Tsp Lemon Emulsion
1 Tsp Creme Bouquet
1 Lemon Zested
*Powdered Sugar for dusting

Hey Donna, I really enjoy being with you in your kitchen. My children asked me what I like doing and I told them watching you make your pound cakes. I used to be an avid baker until I became handicapped/disabled. I watch you and I love you. You are me when I was younger. There is so much more I want to say. Monday September 9th is my birthday. I knew you could do this cake, It was the lemon juice combo the whole time. Mine has always been added into my milk to create this cake. Hi Mrs. Donna! I have this cake in the oven now because I had to see what all the fuss was about. The only thing I did differently 😬 was splint it into two cake pans I ordered from Amazon. They are NOT the full cake pan size so we’ll see how they’ll turn out. I have to say that the batter took me back to childhood where I wanted to eat the batter! I’ll report back with the results. You are not alone, Ms Donna. Only I was making a lemon layer cake, not the Ritz Carlton cake. I needed it to be gluten-free, too. There were so many failed attempts. I rage quit, I surrendered, I was so done because of the lemon juice wrecking my cake's chemistry. 😄That lemon cake got the of best me because I was a similar mistake, but I'll try this one.
