Nice hotel! I know I’ve asked you this before but I’ll repeat my request one more time (I’m sure others have also asked this request as well): Perhaps sometime soon you can prepare a list ranking your impressions of the overall quality of your favorite hotels. Granted, you might not be able to pick THE best property but perhaps you can group the hotels into quality categories, e.g., Top Tier, Second Tier, Third Tier, etc. Such a ranking would be much appreciated by all your 17,000+ subscribers!

Top 5 I've stayed, based on I'd love to stay there again - Four Seasons Bora Bora, Raffles Praslin, Peninsula Shanghai, Taj Exotica Maldives, Burj Al Arab Dubai, Fairmont Lake Louise - ok thats 6, I'm sure there are more...

Hello and love your videos, really inciteful!. I actually wanted your advice (or anyone else’s) on hotels in Langkawi. Myself and Fiancé are travelling for our honeymoon to Langkawi July 2019. Weve narrowed it down to St Regis, 4 Seasons or the Ritz Carlton as per this video. I’ve see all your videos on all 3 and cannot make up my mind in which to stay at. Was hoping for some advice? We wouldn’t be staying in any suites but maybe 2 levels of room upgrades from the basic room. Bed and Breakfast as we’ve heard there are plenty of other places to eat locally. Please let me know your thoughts.

Four Seasons is the best. Their beach is brilliant, and the rooms/facilities great. Ritz Carlton is good (get an Overwater Villa - the Suites here so so). St Regis is ok. I'm going again to Langkawi March 2019 - staying at The Datai which is up there with the best. Have a great Honeymoon - Four Seasons the best there...

From your videos the Ritz Carlton looks allot newer and more modern, whereas the Four Seasons looks abit older and more conventional (timeless). If we don’t mind about the beach ( as we’ve been to plenty of beachside resorts) would you still say the Four Seasons is a better hotel? Must admit I was swaying towards the Ritz as it looked abit more modern, though haven’t checked the prices of a Overwater Villa. However saying that now with your recommendation of the Four seasons im swaying that way, as you’ve been to both. Read about the Datai also, though not really considering it for this trip.

In all honesty there isn't much between Ritz Carlton and Four Seasons - you could stay at both. I stayed in a basic room at Four Seasons when I made the video many years ago, and in a higher room category at RC; also my video skills had improved by the time of RC so the videos may be misleading. Four Seasons feels more like a beach Resort, RC more like a jungle at the beach (in keeping with Langkawi)... they're both very good...

Thank you. Grand sounds better, at a price. Advise noted about Resort Map (can download on hotel website). The Villas are all very good, depends on the view one prefers and relative privacy. The views are either the side I stayed (hills/airport), or beyond Beach (seems to public). I reckon any of the Ocean front Villas, Grand or otherwise, on the side I stayed is the best. Cant hear the airplanes.
