I called customer service and they told me that their closing from April-October 2025 for renovations. Hopefully they’ll update their rooms.

Do you happen to know what is available and no extra fee in the "humid" areas? I am assumimg this would be in the spa/gym area. I was hoping to use the steam room daily. Is that an option that you know of? Thank you!

Nice review but I wonder if maybe it was decorated in a more Spanish decor perhaps?? To get more of a Costa Rican feel? Thanks for sharing 😊

Hi. Solid video. Question, how was the Air Conditioning in each of your rooms? I've read mixed reviews.... On the beach do they have umbrellas? Or are there enough trees to find shade? Also did you see the racoons? At the steak house or anywhere else? To the point of annoyance thanks also do you know of any all inclusive in Costa Rica that have nicer properties but not a double in price?

We had no issues with the AC. We DID see raccoons at the steakhouse on the first night😅

Hi did you book the Diamante Eco Adventure Park at the resort or prior? Do you suggest to book it before or at the resort? I'm wondering which way might be cheaper.

We booked it at the resort once we got there. I think it’s cheaper when you get there because I just checked the prices and it’s more than what we paid at the resort.

I couldn’t stop eating the round Hash browns they had there. I didn’t not like the beef. Apparently Costa Rica doesn’t cure their beef like in North America. That’s why it tastes funny.

Ill be honest, one time I stayed at the Palace I walked towards Guanacaste side just to see what it was like... lets just say i was glad I booked the Palace 😅

I have seen several videos where people had an outdated room and then upgraded to another room... did you guys complain about the issues in the first room? Did they offer a complimentary upgrade? I am curious how it'll be as I am booking Riu for my honeymoon. In case there are issues, it would be nice to know we have the option to change rooms or if I should just pay $$$ to get a "nice" room in advance.

We had a few issues in our first room. The main issue was the toilet, it was making a very loud noise all day and all night, and not flushing properly. It was so bad that it was hard to sleep. We were upgrade due to the issues in the room.

Glad i found this video, my family is getting ready to go here and most are staying at the palace. The price difference is huge so i will take my chances with this hotel. I was quoted 3750 for the palace and for the same duration 1820 for this one. For a week trip 3750 is expensive.

I agree $3750. is quite a difference and very expensive. Given the price difference in the scenario, I would stay at Guanacaste as well. You will have a great time. Thank you so much for watching.

@@Thecjuytt454 ya I heard the Palace had newer interior as far as the design, bedsheets, etc. I heard guanacaste is more family and children friendly

Yes, I think the kids will be ok in the room. They do need to be updated but we still had a good time. The room didn’t stop us from having a great trip, and they did upgrade our room so they made up for it.
