Wow, I can see they serve the Sushi and sea foods at the buffet. I love it. I like the way they built the big water park for adult and teens. However the whole resort look a bit small. I will try this resort this summer (2024). thanks for your video.

That’s a lot of ‘footage’ to help people make decisions. The video starts at the main lobby (reception). That’s been the appearance of this area since RIU razed the Taino Resort and built the new Palace Bavaro more than 10 years ago. Without a doubt the ugliest lobby in the Caribbean. Always expected to see the starship Enterprise land and Spock walk thru the front door !! That’s what the lobbies look like on Vulcan, his home planet! Although I havent visited in about 8 years, back then, this resort had the best food of the five hotels on the property. Even a step up from the Macao, which has always been the flagship resort on this property ! My assessment of the food and dining is too ‘stale’ to be considered after 8 years so you’re on your own there !! I would not hesitate to visit this resort again, but it’s the Macao that’s getting the best reviews these days (adults only tho !!) Pronounce these two names as follows : Bavaro, say BAW-va-row. Macao, say ma-COW. Accent on the upper case syllable .

Are you allowed to go pool side next door? Or have a drink on the other properties? I’ve been to a lot of Riu’s and we were always welcome to go back and forth. I think no food though..
