I don't see any reason jet drives couldn't be used in the RIVA line. Look at the huge yachts with four jet drives; the Pershings and the Overmarine yachts. If I had the money I would get the RIVA 48 with twin jet drives. You get much quicker acceleration than props and the boat has brakes!! What's not to like!!??

amazing review of this boat and a great boat indeed, a real italian boat with world war 1 era beauty. the way the center aisle flows straight into the water is perfect in form and philosophy like you can just melt from the helm seat to the ocean. and being heavy with the right style of engine is good just dont go slow , if you can find that sweet spot and not go too fast you wont be held back as much from the force of the waves and winds because of the momentum balances that out. really enjoyed watching this review.

I would get it with Mercury 1350/1550s and waterjet drives. Press the 1550 button and you'll get a massive holeshot with the waterjets plus the 1550s!!

Sorry I read late your comment, but in my opinion that's not Riva goal. You can compare Riva in automotive world at Rolls-Royce, eventually Mercedes, ride all three of them in "that" same peculiar way, they are fast but do not compete with other brands or persons, Riva compete just with your desires setting the standard. Smooth could be the word to attach at Riva while riding it...

This is at least the tenth time I've watched this video. I believe I've seen every boat Riva builds including the new 50 meter, but I keep coming back to the 48DR. It is perfect in every way except it needs more power.

This thing is awesome....only 1 feature that I wish it had. I wish it had the convertible option like the 76' and 88'. That way if your cruising up to DC from Southern VA and it starts raining you've got some cover other than that canvas sun screen.
